The Spiritual Path: Ascending the Mountain | Gary Kidgell

Theosophical teachings symbolically depict the spiritual path as an ascent of the mountain of initiation. This presentation considers the challenges and rewards associated with traversing what H.P. Blavatsky describes as “a road, steep and thorny, beset with perils of every kind, but yet a road, and it leads to the very heart of the Universe.” By adopting a comparative approach, drawing on Theosophical and other spiritual teachings, Gary Kidgell will outline a series of disciplines and practices that can enable one to accelerate one’s psycho-spiritual growth, thereby affecting spiritual transformation for the benefit of all.
Gary Kidgell joined the Theosophical Society three decades ago and is a member of Scotland’s Dundee Lodge. He has written two books, The Inner Journey: Pathways to the Higher Self and Greek Hero Myths: Symbols of Transformation. He has lectured extensively throughout the U.K. and Europe. Gary is a professional astrologer specializing in esoteric astrology and is the Director of Studies for the Claregate Metaphysics Group.
