Thanks RiffCodger. I'm a Codger too. My Dad bought me my first guitar in 1973. It was a second-hand 1965 Mustang (short scale) similar pickup switching. I've recently bought one these Squires. Love it. A keeper. The series and parallel switching tones is a reminder of my me of my first guitar. I agree with your review, great value at this price point.

I have a red one. I think the Gibson scale length makes it a bit easier to play. Interesting. I also have a LP Jr. I like the Squire better. One suggestion. Take the plastic tape off the pickups.

Good point Brian. It's the perennial Boss Katana (mk2 ) 50. On very low volume. A bit of reverb, tape delay and a little bit of boost. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
