I agree. Don’t get me wrong, I like to swear, drink, and have a good time as much as anybody. But these guys are not out there dropping F bombs every other word, complaining about things….they are simply rocking 100%. From the videos I’ve seen, there isn’t even any awkward silence between songs, messing around with things (like I’ve seen from other bands on the tour), they are truly hitting the stage and taking advantage of that hour set time and hitting it hard!

@Chill Will I just saw the Pittsburgh show. Def Lep was way better that night than in Miami. The whole concert was more improved. Poison is still stealing this tour though. Not saying they are better. But they have been a pleasant surprise and many have said they have been the best act on the tour. I was just glad Def Lep swapped out a couple new songs for Let it Go and Promises. The sound was way better in Pit too. Miami was show number two on the tour. It's come quite a ways in the last couple months.

@@Jordan_99 all the guitarists were on point. Got to see Tommy play a full show in Pit. To be honest, the replacement drummer did a fantastic job in Miami. Tommy being on drum though kept his big mouth shut lol and I say that with love but really, I prefer him just drumming and not talking. He's quite a drummer and totally rocks! I dunno about anyone carrying anyone. I suppose that perspective is subjective. For.my second show, I was on Nikki's side of the stage so I was a bit bummed to not get to watch Mick Mars up close like I did in Miami. He is as underrated as it gets and to see him again was a real treat. He's the music in that band.

Poison is such a great live band! Brett has a way of connecting to an audience that really invites the fan into their party, not an easy feet to accomplish in a vast arena. They sounded great even on a home recording (granted our phones contain some pretty decent microphones/audio recording tech). Thanks for the video!!!

I always thought Poison was an underrated band. CC is a very good guitarist. Spot on about Leppard and too many ballads. They're capable of really rocking out but they'd rather take the Bon Jovi approach.

I love Motley Crue but too many backing tracks going on there.Def Leppard can rock out but choose to many ballads for my taste. Never thought being a fan of these bands since the 80s that Poison would be the best sounding most energetic band of the tour.

Saw this video this morning & instantly subscribed to the channel. Poison sounded great, probably the best of the 4 (based on the audio in this video) and then DL, then MC and JJ. Though that opener (Classless Act?) was pretty damn good. Up front let me say that I am a huge Def Leppard fan. They were my first concert, with Tesla, November 18th, 1987*. Still one the greatest shows I've ever seen. The problem with a Def Leppard setlist is that, unless they are playing for 3 hours, nobody's going to be happy. They just have too many songs! They could play Pyromania & Hysteria front to back for a 2-hour show that would blow most other bands away. But then you get nothing from their first two albums and nothing after 1987. There's good stuff from Slang (criminally overlooked album and song), Euphoria and X, as well as lots of covers they do very well. I'd love to hear some of the B-sides and Retroactive stuff, like Ring of Fire or Desert Song. I'd love love love for them to do a couple early Dio tunes for Viv. As big a fan as I am, I know Joe Elliott is no Ronnie James Dio. But Vivian Campbell should be allowed to play Rainbow in the Dark, and what is arguably one of the 10 best guitar solos of all time, at every show for the rest of his life. But as long as they ALWAYS use Bringin' on the Heartbreak to lead into Switch 625, I'm good. * fun fact - Love Bites (their only #1 single) wasn't originally played on the Hysteria tour. When it was released as a single in the summer of '88 they had to take time to work out an arrangement for the live shows and crowbar it into the setlist.

Great comment! I wish Def Leppard would at least add Die Hard the Hunter (or Desert Song or Paper Sun) to their set list to give it a little harder edge. I am particularly partial to Die Hard because of the great instrumental section in the middle. Agree with the Heartbreak/Switch combo.

This show made me a fan of both Motley Crue and Poison. They're now both amongst my all time favorite bands. I caught the opening show in Atlanta, and I wasn't disappointed. Joan Jett was fantastic, and her set introduced me to her Runaways days (with Cherry Bomb) and several of her biggest hits like Crimson and Clover and Do You Wanna Touch Me. Def Leppard was always one of my favorite bands and was the main band I wanted to see. They were all absolutely fantastic. Def Leppard was my favorite out of them, but the other three are hard to rank. Motley Crue would probably be second considering they surprised me the most. I never hated them, I just never really cared about them, but now, I absolutely love them. The same is true with Poison. Never really cared about them outside of a few of their bigger songs, but now I love them too. Despite Joan Jett's set having next to no energy (because it's a daytime show and technically the first set of the show, because I didn't get to see Classless Act play) her set was brilliant. A very strong show indeed, and I hope I get to see at least one of these bands one more time. Great review man!!

That was a Rock N Roll show for sure! Great stuff! I love this! I was there,BUT I am disabled and this let me see things I couldn't! I'm not wheelchair bound (thank God) but have issues with walking because of 2 strokes. So they wheeled me over to where my seat in disabled section was supposed to be. (it wasn't) I walked to try and find it, no one knew where it was, until I couldn't walk anymore. I can tell you this, the medics are very nice and the little medic room is cold AC and really nice! So there's that. LOL!This is a really good ICYMI for me! Merch line was my daughters job. LOL!

Def Leppard sound great because they work on it, there's no tapes, but all bands of effects, like vocal compressors, and stuff like that. Joe also retaught himself how to sing, via a vocal coach, because after the boat fiasco, he went to the doctor, and was told he had a paralyzed vocal chord, and he had a great regimen, and now he's singing better, and sounds better than he has in years.

I was not a Poison fan in the 80's but in 2004 I saw them for free in Phoenix AZ and they blew me away, i left there a fan. Since then I've been hooked and always catch them at every concert in our area. Have seen them 7 times since then. They are incredible live and easily better than Crue and Def Leppard here. (Def Leppard was still darn good though).

Miami was about 7 hours. I always devote the entire day to concerts. Park down the road because they weren't opening the lots until about 2 hours prior which is BS. Get there early and walk and listen to the sound checks and warm-ups.

Great video compilation dude! Just saw the show in Philly this past weekend. Outstanding concert! Jett always puts on a great show and everyone knows her setlist. Poison was most fun to watch IMO because Bret Michaels engagement with Philly crowd. I didn’t know prior to the show that Poison is from PA. Def Leppard had tightest music and sound. Motley was just over the top entertainment with a huge stage production. They used some nifty video tricks to hide chubby Vince lol and Mars was definitely showing all of his 71 years of age physically, but he can definitely still play that axe!

Now that I've seen multiple videos of the first few shows: Joe Elliott is definitely getting his voice back and they sound great. Poison...holy crap. They sound like it's 1989 again and they're so hungry! Vince Neil...the voice was there for a few songs but he's struggling to get the words out. I don't know if it is a conditioning thing where he needs more breath or if it's just vocal damage. The tone was there during Wild side. Just don't want to see him go the way of Jon Bon Jovi.

I was in Jacksonville for the Def Leppard and Soundgarden in 2017 as well. Great show. Saw Joan Jett in 2012 with Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters at Deluna Fest and she rocks. Haven't seen Poison since the 89 recorded show at the old Orlando Arena(they released it on cd). Last Crüe show was Livestock 97. I'm really not buying Tommy's broken rib story. When I fell off a 30ft ladder in 2002 and broke 3 ribs, fractured my skull and herniated 4 discs in my back it was hard to play with my band at Janie Lane's. I had to gobble 4 80mg OCs and I was just playing my bass. It was hard. Well Vince just sounded horrible.... really disappointed in him and Tommy. They had 2 years to be in shape. Mick and Nikki did great. Thanks for sharing this with us..... you guys rock 🤘🤘🤘

Thanks for the review. ✌️ I think Def Leopard is on another level in comparison to these other bands. Almost like INXS or Talking Heads in terms of production value. They got some heavy stuff but are sonically just better musicians imo. Great harmonies as well. I’d say Poison then Jett & then Crue. They were all great,especially for the wear and tear.

Being an Audio Engineer ( FOH/MON WRLD/STUDIO ) I CAN PROMISE YOU... that all of those bands at one song or more were being helped by "Mac" the computer engineer!! And honestly, "MAC" is a great fellow... he works for free, he doesn't eat, drink, sleep or talk back... he does on occasion have a huge brain fart... HOWEVER, HE IS ACCOMPANIED BY HIS TRIPLET BROTHERS!!! Sooooo, never fear, "MAC" is always near!!!! ANYWAY, KEEP ON KEEPING ON BROTHER ROCKER!!!!! PEACE !!!!!🤘🏼

As much as I love Def Leppard they sound more like a cover band here. Bringin on the heartbreak, one of my favorite songs and it sounds like they're underwater or slow motion.

Reminded me of the weather we had at the Monsters of Rock show at Oxford Speedway in Maine in June`88....We got free tix for that show(my step-father`s brother worked with or under the owner of the place),so we got there an hour before everything started,went to one of the t-shirt tents,got our stuff and walked right up to the barrier,in front of the stage,and waited.......It started off crazy as we were known to be at that age(17),so they got us cooled down with the firehoses....Little did they know,they wouldn`t need them..got halfway through Dokken and a string of thunderstorms focused itself on the stage and its metal antennas,etc...lightning would continuously blow everything out and instead of an 8 hour extravaganza,we became friggin` popsicles in June(never been that cold,EVER)and the show went maybe 10 hours with all the stoppages......So many stories just during that one adventure....

That was amazing!! I've seen Poison and Motley Crue before and absolutely loved their shows but I've never seen Def Leppard or Joan Jett.

Saw Def Leppard for the first time 1980 Bournemouth Town Hall England. About 800 in the audience. You caught some good footage. 👍

I was there too with my dad it was his most expensive Father’s Day gift and he loved it even tho he had to go to work the next day and we got home around 1:00
