Belluna Dome has become one of the most unpopular ones among players and fans. The detached roof maybe innovative at the time in the late 1990s, but in springtime it's too cold (windy season in March & April), and in summer it's way too hot and humid. They've spent gazillions of yen to add better air conditioning under the roof, but hot air from the outside makes it rather inefficient. Also lots of bugs (mosquitos, flies, bees, moths, ladybugs, beetles) and pollen freely invade the playing field and the stands, as the dome is built right by the mountains and forests. It's gotten so bad that many Lions players have asked to be traded.

This has become my favorite channel - I spend way too long on your videos man. Keep it up! Some future ideas: - NCAA Hockey arenas for the top 20 or so programs - Former NBA arenas that are still standing - NCAA track and field stadiums ranked - NCAA baseball stadiums ranked - NCAA Final Four venues by year

After the Big Ten hockey arena one, I'm cautiously optimistic that we're soon going to get an NCHC, Hockey East, and/or ECAC hockey arena video. The "Former NBA Arenas Still Standing" could be interesting. I live in Milwaukee, and the Milwaukee Arena (aka MECCA, now known as UWM Panther Arena) was built in 1950 and still has several full time tenants to this day. I don't know how many other old NBA arenas are that old and still in use (the amusingly named Cow Palace by San Fran?) but there's bound to be some good ones. And a few football stadiums, I think.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll almost certainly be making the NBA video at the very least.

@@TheWideWorldofStadiums We're fighting like hell to save Jingu. It's 97 years old, and still a great place to see a ballgame. All time great Yankees Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig played there in the early 1930s.

@@jeffreyroah851Damn? 97 years old??? that’s insane!!! I knew of it as a fan of a idol group that called jingu their home base, but 97 years old?? god i really hope they don’t demolish it. there’s so much history in that.

Kashima Soccer Stadium, located about 1.5 hours from Tokyo (about 40 minutes from Narita Airport), is one of the top soccer stadiums in Japan. Zico once played for the Kashima Antlers team. Thanks to that, Kashima Antlers has become the most successful J-League team (Japan's top soccer league).

The negative: Too many running tracks! One running track is enough. Now the good, so many great and unique stadiums, both interior and exteriors, I can't pick a favourite or even favourite three! The ones that are great are Belluna Dome normally domes aren't great but love the roof not being attacked to the stands, Yoyuga National Gymnasium, Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Japan National Stadium, Saitama Super Arena, Musashina Forest Sports Plaza, Nippon Budakan, Chiba Port Arena, Saitama Stadium 2002, Ryogoku Kokugikan, Todoroki Arena, Kumagaya Rugby Ground, Ariaki Coliseum. Some really beautiful designs, so many!!!

Another great video! You know how to have great commentary for every stadium even though some blend together! If you need more ideas there are a bunch more US College Hockey arenas, rest of conferences are: Hockey East ECAC (AKA Ivy League) AHA CCHA NCHC Independents (Alaska, Arizona State, Lindenwood, LIU, and Stonehill) and CHA, NEWHA, and WCHA which only feature womens teams.

Loved it. Wow so many 20000-seater olympic tracks in Tokyo. What about horse racing and other animal racing stadiums. I would also love to see a Sydney vs Melbourne stadiums comparison. If you do and you will. Make sure you use the Penrith Lakes. Plus all the Sydney Motorsport complex pieces. Plus the rugby parks and all NRL grounds. Hordern Pav is in too. You can do it. LYW...

I have lived in the Shonan Area (next to Yokohama, and still in the Kanto/Tokyo area) for 10 years and I will say the medium sized athletics track stadiums are an absolute plague in Japan. They ARE EVERYWHERE. It’s not just Tokyo either lol. Obviously there are a lot of multipurpose stadiums because space is a premium in Japan but man… I feel for the J-league teams since a lot of them have tracked stadiums which hurts the match day experience. Even the locals agree the tracks suck. Annoyingly, they are sometimes even next door to yet another tracked field with just a smaller amount of seating… WHY? What’s even more annoying is that the biggest events at these stadiums are usually ONLY soccer/football. NOBODY goes to track meets. Even Japanese people.😂 Track and field does not need thousands of stadiums throughout the country. Honestly feels more of a waste of space than having specific stadiums for different sports, because there are so many of them…

Amazed at all those running tracks. Japan doesn't even have a strong record in athletics - in the Olympics they hosted they only won 1 silver and 1 bronze, way behind much smaller countries like Sweden, Canada and the Netherlands. You'd think a big, developed nation with all that infrastructure would be more successful.
