The Staircase - Windgather Rocks - Derbyshire Peak District.

This is our first climb of 2025. We had intended to climb at Casle Naze, but the weather there was just a little extreme. We will however be returning to climb there soon.
As a warm up, we are climbing The Staircase which is a M * route.

I never climbed at Windgather Rocks, so interested to see more of it. That looked like very cold weather

Hi Stu, thanks for the comment. Windgather is known as one of the most popular and friendly crags in the peak district. This set of videos was shot on 25th January and yes it was a very cold but sunny day with some snow still laying on the hill tops. I have several more climbs from Windgather ready to edit, so watch out for them over the next couple of weeks. We have visited the crag last year and climbs 40 - 50 in the 70 at 70 series of videos are all Windgather climbs. So plenty to keep you going. Enjoy your explorations

Very close to the parking, virtually belay from the car! Would have been warmer.. 😅
