The games you mention running at 60 FPS are running at kinda-sorta "60 FPS". These are "performance modes," not really 60 FPS consistently. Maybe if you stand still and stare at the sky. No guarantee that a delay will bring a performance mode for Avowed; that is not why it was delayed. It would be nice. All the changes necessary would mean additional QA (and time), not just a drop in resolution. Regardless, I'll be playing on PC most likely.

5 things Ubisoft can do to turn it around. 1. Polish AC Shadows all hands on deck to make this game successful 2. Drive revenue by offering a cheaper tier of Ubisoft +. They don’t need to give day 1 access for new games but can give fans access to their legacy library 3. Develop a successful mobile game. Mobile is the most accessible platform and can drive big revenue. 4. Create an original IP with new and interesting mechanics and gameplay.Easier said than done but Ubisoft needs to invest in a new hit. 5. Consolidate active projects to 4 main teams. The Assassins Creed team, mobile game team, Multiplayer Experience team, original IP team.

These large publishers like ubi and ea are sort of victims of their own size and the fact that most companies stock prices have become wildly overvalued in the last few years. Because of their size and valuation, investors expect them to bet big and win big. Pitching a new IP with a $10m budget doesn't move the needle as much as the "next billion dollar franchise".
