The Book is just unbeatable. It's one of the best books I've ever read. A great idea. The characters. Mother Abagail, Randall Flagg, Loydd, Larry. M-o-o-n that spells Moon. 'Baby Can You Dig Your Man. He's a righteous man'. Classic.

Steven king is good about making stories about the end of the word and takes a lot of ideas from the bible too which makes his stories hit even harder

I actually really like the extended ending bits. The original '94 miniseries didn't include his reappearance in the jungle, but it is in fact straight out of the book.

@@TheRealBatCave I haven't seen this one but for bits and pieces here on YT. I heard bad things about it plus some of what I've seen on YT just wasn't right. I'm too big a fan of the book and the '94 miniseries to want to mess it up by watching something that feels like a Family Dollar version of a story I truly love.

It's a little different to how I remember the book. In the book I believe God revealed himself as an ethereal giant hand within a storm with an extended finger that touched the nuke and made it explode

The darkman summons a little ball of fire to kill a guy defying him. He loses track of the magic while distracted by the trashcan man and God takes control of it turning it into a giant hand and uses it to activate the nuke.

...That is so NOT Randall Flagg its not even funny...Like idk who this country music artist is pretending to be Flagg but it SURE AINT THE MAN HIMSELF 🤣 He looks and sounds absolutely nothing like him Why can’t just ONE studio doing an adaptation of Steven King stop trying to insert their own bs/changes into the story and just TELL THE DAMN STORY the way it was intended to be told/visualized. The story is absolutely good enough on its own! It doesn’t NEED any changes lol Part of the reason its still great is actually BECAUSE it preserves the time period it was in. Plus exists in (for those new to Steven King) a JAWDROPPINGLY VAST multiverse of worlds & timelines that already connect together. They never seem to put any if the bigger picture story details in adaptations and its depressing because theres a LOT more to the story than what you’re seeing in these new ones. They all feel rather soulless in comparison The only OUTSTANDING adaptation ive ever actually seen of his work is the old ass Stand mini series. That one nails the casting & vibe PERFECTLY! And I cant even fully explain why... Plus it has these cheesy ass moments youd THINK would be annoying but actually add a lot of extra charm & humor to the series lol So if you REALLY WANT to see a GOOD adaptation of The Stand, I highly recommend checking that sucker out lol The guy they cast as Flagg is the single best actor ive ever SEEN do that role. He literally is one of the best aspects of the entire show & one of the biggest reasons its so fucking good!

Exactly, they always cut out so much and just make the walkin dude some kind of idiot. In the book he appears on the island fully clothed and the tribes people just know he’s something else, and he never remembers who he was, he just knows he is evil.
