The Standard Rates of Sync Licensing Agencies

Legit and reputable sync agencies out there take between 20% to 50%. Some take more than 50% but I would recommend not working with the ones that are taking more than 50%. Lyle Hanson, the founder of Bank Robber sync agency, said they take 25% and that it’s unethical for somebody to take more than that.
Now, Vo Williams, who is the instructor of our Advanced Sync Strategies course for Ari’s Take Academy, says up to 50% is totally cool. He has over 1500 sync placements, and is one of the most successful, if not thee most successful artist in sync licensing right now. He’s struck deals with multiple sync agencies anywhere from 25% to 50%. That’s what you’re looking at.

How about platforms like Taxi that charge up to $300/year for a membership? Would you advice artists/producers to pay money upfront to help pitch their music?
