I am understanding that many of the board failure is the same, as the chip fail. A production value and the first, natural repair to working condition. A high skill with specific process to working condition and restored long life. I enjoyed the craftmanship shown to all precision at solder. M.

If manufacturers put a socket for critical ICs the replacements jobs are very easy. Old days it was done specially by Philips

You definitely know what your doing mate. The problem is though I haven't a clue what your doing, the tools, the solder, and cleaning solution your using. I'm not knocking your channel, video, or your work but for the people like me your video needs some sort of commentary or discription of wat and why your doing what your doing also details of the tools and equipment your using.

Wow, That was the most extreme method to replace a chip I have ever seen, and it was a success! I mean, is not this a multilayer board? Of Course, I respect your experience in this kind of repair but, did not you scared that it may be by making a hole through the board will cause a short between the layers of the board? Good Job anyway, and best wishes!

TV's where he is must be different to the UK, I seved my time as an electronics designer and i've always fixed this problem on TV's by changing the dry capacitors in the S/M power supply, a very easy problem to spot and fix
@wisher21uk3 жыл бұрын
Not caps anymore really, I can’t remember the last time I changed an electrolytic capacitor, all seems to be anything else
@floydloonie48803 жыл бұрын
I live in USA, and same for me to fix problem, but obviously this was a different situation, or the tv would not be working. So I guess we both learned something as the logic board and power supply boards are not going to fix each other?? IDK
@peterduxbury9273 жыл бұрын
Changing the Caps has (nearly) always worked for me too, on the SM Power Board. I wouldn't go to such lengths to change - out a Microprocessor. I just change the faulty Board.

My SAMSUNG S23B300B monitor kept crashing after several hours of use. This happened when the main IC on the control board got hot. After putting a heatsink on the IC, there no longer have been any problems so far. Here is the funny part. I did not have any heatsinks. So I instead used a couple of strips of staples and coupled them to the IC with thermal compound, and a few drops of glue. There is also a metal shield on the main board, located at the DVI and VEGA connectors. This is located right next to the main IC. So I coupled one side of one staple strip to this metal shield after sliding it over a bit, and again coupled it with thermal paste. This left part of the IC still exposed, so I simply added a smaller staple strip to take care of that, along with using thermal compound and a dab of glue. LOL

Nice, very nice work!...may i know if what is that sticky substance you used in soldering the cpu? Is it a soldering paste? ..then also what is that water like substance you used in cleaning after you have sucessfully installed the ic? Is it a paint thinner? Thanks for your reply.
@floydloonie48803 жыл бұрын
@ Antonio Beatriz- The paste was flux for the solder, to help it flow smooth over the small pins on the chip and the liquid was alcohol to clean up left over flux...the same rubbing alcohol you use at home... I hope that helps you.

Where is the problem? Is it in the components surrounding the ic tea 1716? but which pins of ic responsable for overvoltge or which components must be change smd capacitors and resestors or all them.

Hi, it there a way to replace mainboard and change some chips to adapt the resolution. I have one 32 " tv with standby issues and the tv wont turn on. i must try 100 times to power on and one time working. I ordered the same mainboard EAX66085703 model but from wrong tv 42" . The new motherboard working good but i have distorted and overlapped picture. I changed the tv size but there is again distorted picture on the display. I will try to change some chips on the new mainboard to make it working with my 40 inch tv. Do you know wich chip is for the setting and the resolution on the mainboard. my TV is LG 40UB800V and new Mainboard I ordered is 49UB8300-CG , 55UB8300-CG Model EAX66085703 the same mainboard as mine in the 40UB800V Thanks.

Greetings, Thanks for the Vid. I have a HiSense 55" Roku TV It shut off the other day and would not turn back on. The standby light turns on when plugged in then dims and flashes once goes black for a couple seconds this sequence repeats continuously. I replaced the power board. Same issue. I measured the power from the USB port and the USB power seems to cycle with the light sequence. as if the TV is rebooting. Any ideas ?

What is the purpose of this central square conductor under the chip, is it the ground only or some kind heat sink and ground together towards bottom to remove the heat from bottom side of chip?
@RepairAllTV3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's how it is. it also attracts heat to GND
@vjekoslavcvetnic75003 жыл бұрын
@@RepairAllTV , but is the solder material also a good temperature conductor to sink the heat? My chip processor doesn't have aluminium heat sink on the top! I also have to solder new processor on my computer LG monitor and I also want to bore the hole instead heating the whole chip to melt the solder under the chip, it is very risky, I would rather bore the hole, hm... What the stupid design are they making just to make things complicate and risky to overheat the chip!

@Naplesfrank1542 жыл бұрын
That is the problem today. Many repairmen are just board changers. They just keep changing out boards until the item works again. Repairmen who actually know what they are doing only change the bad part. In no way am I saying that you are inexperienced, auto repair shops do the same thing today. They don’t have the real knowledge so they keep changing out parts until it works and that’s why it is so expensive to bring your car to the dealer.
