Wonderful to hear more on Calanais, I always view as my favourite stones being a mid winter solstice baby, and from the west coast of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I stole some screenshots of his wonderful photies too 😊

Another interesting and enlightening talk, so many archaeological sites that I never knew existed, I'm too old to get to these places but I do enjoy the videos and the in depth discussions of the sites. Thank you.

My second husband and I took spent a couple of days on Harris and Lewis in the summer of 1993 - we must have driven by the Calanais Stones 8 or 10 times without knowing they were there. I hope I’m able to go back at some point, there’s so much more I know to look for now!

Good morning from the beautiful SF Bay Area. Thanks for another informative conversation. We have standing stones here in the Bay Area, too, but they are mostly old hippies! 😂

What a fascinating conversation. Thank you, all 3. As to Sleeping Beauty, like the zodiac constellations I just struggle to see what the names refer to of most of these landscape shapes. It just looks like hills to me. Even the 'face' of la peña de los enamorados at Antequera takes some effort. I still just see a lower and upper peak. 😢

It is an amazing place, get there if you can, the islands are full of pre- history.

How do we feel about erecting the buried stones at Avebury? I’m still thinking about it.

The Prehistory Guys NEVER mention the Sidhe or Shining Ones. Calanais is 1 Sidhe Groups favorite place.

It may be interesting to turn around and see what the moonlight shadow casts on the stones rather than watch the moon pops up on the horizon?

Missed your posts for over a year due to working moving and decorating, and not spending so much time on KZbin.. Got to go back now and catch up with your previous ones. Keep it up.. From a Londoner living in Spain, formally known as Hearditfrommefirst. 🍷

I hope you find Spain to your liking. 😊 May I ask why you moved away from UK when half of the third world is trying so hard to move there?

@@eleanorrigby7897 I have just noticed im still Hearditfrommefirst..which is weird Should be Michael Bath..as it is on my Tablet ? Must check it again. Yes spains ok, at least the weathers better than England.. Spending two months in Spain and two months in surrey due to silly 90 day rule.. One of you live in France if i remember our last conversation. Does the 90 day rule effect you ? I read that France rejected the 180 due to it being Unconstitutional.

@@HeardFromMeFirst you can change your name but you can't change your @ ... And your comment now shows your @ instead of your name. KZbin made this switch last year. I'm sorry I don't know what you're talking about I'm from Pakistan 😂😂 Just wanted some advice on which European country is best to move out to as a young girl 😊

@@eleanorrigby7897 Sorry i thought i was repliying to these fellows...😅 My mistake.. As a pakistani girl..i would move to any country that doesnt kill people for Blasphemy.. As what happened yesterday.

@@HeardFromMeFirst yeah that happened in a town few miles away from where I live. This whole blasphemy thing is actually used as a weapon against anyone you hate. Doesn't have to be proven, a single claim is enough to get you killed. People who are falsely accused are burned alive at the spot. If the police tries to protect him/her they burn down the police station. But yesterday's case was different. The guy actually traveled from a different province and he was involved in performing black magic which included the holy books. People found proof and dealt with it. Disrespectful? Yes! Should the police handle it better ? Yes! But they don't care about anyone here, so there you go. There are bigger issues outside of blasphemy btw, power outages, inflation, no jobs and no rights for women. That's why I wish to move out. But the embassies aren't giving visas easily due to illegal immigrants entering their country. It's a tough thing to get out legally 😔
WHY ARE THINGS WHERE THEY ARE? We explore some unusual perspectives.
