As I progress closer to death every day in my old age, I remember all of these great moments and songs from the The Staple singers; and they take me back to when I was a young man, in my prime, and when the world was a better place. Yes, it had problems, just like it will ALWAYS have problems, but people were better for the most part; and they looked out for each other more!. Common sense, and common decency, were not uncommon attributes! I try to stay out of everyone's way now, just a used up old man, no one wants to hear anything from; but my music allows me to drift back with a smile to those days, and contentedly look forward to the day when I will take my trip home as we all must do. Just imagine with all the great talent that has been called home already, what an awesome Band the Lord must have!!! Someday soon, I will be right down front; and that is what truly keeps me going! Amen?
