The performance of the National Anthem at Super Bowl XXV in 1991 in Tampa, Florida by the late Whitney Houston is revered as one of the best renditions of the song. The unsung hero of the performance is John Clayton, who re-harmonized the anthem to this masterpiece. There are obvious differences, such as the "Star Spangled Banner" is traditionally in 3/4 and this rendition is in 4/4. Here is a transcription of that famous performance for marching band, with percussion by Yaquarious "Trey" Holloway.
