I may not live in North America, but I memorized the Star Spangled Banner and O Canada. I can sing and memorize 2 of those anthems. I memorized the Star Spangled Banner last year like fall of 2019 and I memorized O Canada since early July 2020. However, I can only memorize the English version of O Canada but not the French version.

We in France see Canada, specifically the region of Quebec, as our brethren. However, it wouldn't be far-fetched to call them the sons of France, for more historical reasons. And the United States. We've been alongside America ever since it's proclamation. We sent our fleets and men to assist, providing financial and political aid. The United Kingdom as well. Once enemies of France by extension of the Kingdom of England, France being it's own monarchy made sure that ever decade, France and the UK would have at least one war.
