And good job to Toronto against Boston a few days ago, that was one of the best games I've seen in a while and it's good to see The Leafs back in the groove. Had it not been for Boston's horrible 1st period, that game would have been incredibly close.

pokefan100 yea we are basically children of Britain. America may of fought you for independence but Canada stayed loyal to Britain through WW1 and WW2 until Britain officially let us make our own true choices. We were before but now Britain gave us full freedom, but we still chose to see Britain as our mother. We even get taught in school about how our Canadian ancestors dropped everything to help Britain In the wars. Such a shame that us 3 countries are so alike but only the U.S and Canada are together :/ Allied forces for life :)
@pokefan10037 жыл бұрын
+Meme Team! We Brits adore our two best friends across the Atlantic, and we have been with each other through thick and thin. Canada is by far the most loyal country to have gained independence from Britain, and we are happy you are still in our Commonwealth and still stick by our side. We Brits would drop everything to help you guys or to help the Americans in a heartbeat too. While Britain may be the opposite side of a rather large pond to its American and Canadian cousins, we are thinking of you all the time, and as a proud Brit I keep a close eye on what's happening across the Atlantic in America and Canada. Since Britain is now leaving the EU, hopefully we can finally gain closer relationships with America and Canada, who are our true friends. God bless America and Canada from a proud Brit and God save the Queen of the UK and Canada!

We Canadians & Americans may talk 'smack'. We may post how great we are & that we are better than one another, but there is a reason why Canada & the US has the longest unguarded border in the world. No other 2 nations on this planet can claim this. As you read the numerous posts explaining how we tell each other why we are better than one another, at the end of the day, Canadians & Americans are truly great neighbours, are there for each other in ANY time of need, & we will always have each other's backs, (i.e. Iranian Hostages; Operation Yellow Ribbon on 911, etc) Love my neighbours to the south & glad they are our neighbours. I wonder if there will ever come a day when the US will have to build a wall or fence to keep us out?

+dieselboi91 You are so right. I remember standing in a group of people when a 'citizen' from another country started trashing Americans/the U.S. I went totally ballistic on him defending Americans. You should have seen the look on his face when he said, 'Oh you're American' & I said, 'No! I'm Canadian! And you sir, don't know Americans!" He of course followed up with the same ol'bullshit line we Canadians hear all the time…, 'Don't you Canadians know Americans hate you & will never respect you'? To which, I followed up with, 'Oh don't be silly! They respect us in hockey and to we Canadians, that's all that counts". I could have responded with a more intelligent remark, but there was no point. The man was an idiot! It was best to 'dummy-down' to a level he might understand.

Americans may seem like selfish loudmouths who don't care about anyone else, but I've come to realize that such an international reputation isn't fair or well-deserved. Most Americans are decent people, just as all other people. Besides, inspire class, progress, change, positivity, and better thought, behaviours and actions..., and you might find that even the worst, most selfish, and most ignorant of people can be brought to cooperate with you and befriend you. That's the Canadian attitude (at least that of the majority of our people). I'm glad to see that our southern neighbours are still on the same page as us.
