Thank you for making this review! For all its flaws, I feel there's still a lot to appreciate about The Acolyte, and I'm so sick of people trying to cancel modern Star Wars projects.

the show has so many bad moments that go against the original films and the 3 that followed it up, the writing was terrible, the acting from the lead was terrible, the costume design was terrible, the casting was terrible, no one who actually likes star wars likes this show, as was seen in the viewing figures, this show failed because no one watched it

see my thing is what about it goes against the og films and new ones if we never got the full story? I just feel like we got cut off in the middle of them telling it I agree with the writing part cause they were definitely trying do a lot in a little bit of time And I wouldn't blame people if they stopped watching after like 3 episodes was just like naw im not feeling this but after the qimir reveal i feel like things started to get interesting but that's just me tho i appreciate your perspective on it tho 💯💯

When I first saw the acolyte I really wanted to give it it's credit but, by the end I was disappointed. As a story it was weak. The plot didn't make sense and they only good part of the story was buried and treated like a nobody. He made his mistakes but, after what he lost and sacrificed was for naught. I give the creator credit for making me care about a character but, it can't undo all the demage it created. She didn't understand the Jedi, she had not an understanding of the sixth because, if she did she would understand why the sith are hated. The Jedi are keepers of Peace their whole point is to keep the balance of the natural order among the Galaxy the sith are tragic figures corrupted by the dark side of the force. The two sisters didn't even understand what their purpose was. The assassin was too easily forgiven for her actions, the hero joined the dark side too easily and had no reason to have the hatred she had for sol. To bleed a lightsaber you have to fall and give in to the darkness within. The only difference between the Jedi and the sith is that the Jedi fight the darkness inside all the time and the sith do not. Hence why Master Yoda calls the sith week. To understand the force it is simply understanding the human source. To become a Jedi you must hold on to the light that resides in all living things, the Jedi's purpose is to retain that light for all eternity or till the end of time, to be a sith you surrender to your darkness that is always there. She didn't fall to the dark side and therefore she couldn't bleed the lightsaber. When you say people don't understand Star wars true Star wars fans that's the point they do. Because just like everything, they study the star wars lore and everything it inspires, it's what it means to be a fan. And she disregarded everything that they held dear. That is why the Star wars is so frustrated. And it has been happening since the sequel trilogy. Fans are watching what they love and value being destroyed because, of the fake fans that never understood the lore to begin with. I see your point I understand all I'm doing is explaining why the Star wars fans are so upset. Over the years Star wars has represented so much in people's lives and then to watch it burn for no reason but, hatred is the tragedy of it all. In my opinion Master Sol didn't deserve what happened to him, The witches should have not been seen as heroes, that's assassin did not deserve forgiveness, Darth plagueis should not have been treated like a rat in the sewer, and Master Yoda didn't deserve to be treated so foolish when not only is he a master fighter, he was also one of the most wisest and most powerful Jedi of his time. As a film standing alone it wasn't good but, she did a good job on character design and fights but as a whole the show was bad and destroyed The Value that Star Wars has and disrespected it's source material. Again don't misunderstand this as an attack against or trying to be an ass, I'm really not. I heard your side and understand your point but, I just wanted you to understand why there's such a backlash with the star wars fandom. So many series that have been built over the ages are slowly being destroyed and it's a painful sight to behold. In conclusion, you're doing good on your videos and I'm glad I heard your thoughts. 🙂

@@ScarletknightScyro88 trust me when I say I have gotten a lot of feedback on my thoughts on the series and I'm starting to understand where the frustration comes from and I'm still of the belief that too things can be true at the same time where backlash was a lil to crazy at times from a certain section of the community and they could have done a way better job with how they constructed this story to be more congruent with the Og lore And just be more thoughtful with what their doing with Star Wars as a franchise in general But I appreciate you taking the time to write this comment and share your perspective tho we might not agree on everything. I'm not in the business of having to be right all time just honest and authentic in my approach to the content I make so thanks for seeing that and responding in a cool way 💪🏾
