The Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room in Seattle's Capitol Hill is now open. Today, we are extremely excited to invite the world inside to see, smell, taste and share a truly one-of-a-kind coffee experience. Welcome.

I visited Seattle in 2009 just to visit the Pike Place Market store. It was my life time Mecca visit. Now I have to go back and see this too.

Is it organic though?
@halfbreed14269 жыл бұрын
Everything derived from the periodic table is technically organic.
@TheGeneralJos8 жыл бұрын
+halfbreed1426 Technically speaking, in chemistry terminology, "organic" materials (more accurately organic compounds) consist of mostly of carbon atoms ;) To answer Central Studio's question, probably not. The coffee is is probably not Fair Trade either.

I had some Reserve single origin Hawaiian coffee from the New York coffee Festival along side some other brands in a cupping all roasted in New York except your coffee that was roasted in Seattle. I have to say I'm very disappointed in the quality. Not only was it roasted way darker than any other coffees we tasted but also the quality was much worse than many industrial brands I've tried like Merrild and Gevalia. In fact it was undrinkable.

a cup of coffee was a dime when i was a kid. STARBUCKS seems like a gimmick, a fad, to drain people of what little money they've earned. we all know that something is wrong when a coffee drink costs approx. $4.49.
@LorenzoNW9 жыл бұрын
+lynd scott And movies were 50¢ when I was a kid. Sure, they're making a killing but... You're not just paying for a cup of coffee. Do you know how many millions of dollars it cost to build the Roastery and how many employees they have to pay? And the Roastery actually has really good coffee with well-trained baristas.
