I am a lifelong trombone player. I was never great, but I made it up to third chair Pennsylvania state band way way back in 2002. I cannot stress enough just how difficult a piece this is for a regular trombone. This speed is almost unheard of. This was sharp, crisp, and unbelievably well done. I swear before God that I actually teared up listening to it. Marvelous, amazingly well done, and please keep it up!

I also played the trumpet 🎺 in my younger years and aboard the USS KAWISHIWI, AO 146 out of PEARL HARBOR, HAWAII. this was from 1/75-11/77, ALMOST 3 FULL YEARS! My God, we come up with some of the best patriotic tunes of any nation, IMHO, And Sousa (the composer of S&SF?) was perhaps the greatest creative genius ever in this genre. These kinds of songs remind you that America, in spite of the hyperbole of the present Administration, has always been great in spite of her problems. And I loved the encore, with the prominent part played by the piccolos at the conclusion. Great stuff!!!
