Story line: Southland is so far behind they take a unanimous donation to update equipment for incoming freshman to get a recruiting edge. Southland will give all incoming freshman revo speed helmets and make their jersey sleeves be sleeveless in hopes to attract recruits. (Update player equipment so your team looks better. Just edit every incoming freshman at the start of every season)

And for every win you get you can increase the Points you can use depending on how hard Your Opponent was. Like a 100 points for each star the team has or so. You should do a 1 Star Rebuild! Maybe not for the Koalas, but sometime in the future. I'm doing a rebuild where I recruit only 1 stars every year except for one recruit who can be any star level. I'm in the fifth year and still haven't won the Natty. I made it once, but lost. It makes the game a bit more balanced and fun to play for longer periods of time. Plus the 1 star freshman you recruit really grow on you as the years go on lol

Something you could do going forward that you're already kind of doing this season is, have your prestige be the number of players above 3* that you can sign. So this season, 1 4 or 5 star player, with an eventual max of six. I think it'd both prevent the team from being totally OP, and allow you to connect more with the select few premier players.

Crowe, for real tho, like someone else mentioned it before, you should recruit only from Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma (neighbour states), at least for the first year, because the school has no recognition YET :) if you gain some (win more games than you suppose to), then the "recruiting area" should expand to more "close-by" states and so on. That would be an awesome idea for building a powerhouse from scratch

I have an interesting idea for recruitment to possibly make it a challenge. For each season that is the max number of star recruits you could use. EX. with this being season one you can only recruit one stars, for season two you can only recruit 1 and 2 stars, and so on till season 5

Put some serious recruiting limitations in place that will maintain the challenge of a long-term rebuild. Maybe consider never allowing higher than 3-star recruits except for one 4/5-star per season? That would force the team to be junior/senior-focused most years with the occasional stud freshman.
