When do you sleep!!!!!! Man o man. I clicked so fast. I am replacing an engine in my 09 Avalanche and I went with a 2011 5.3. Unfortunately it has the DOD with these engines starting in 2007. I did however get a programmer to disable that crap. Did you remember that the Tahoe may have that as well? Keep up the good work man

I know it’s just me but, OEM anything over a switch out, I enjoy the old trucks as they came out new, I have to look a long time to find one the 100% factory condition, the old ones will carry you anywhere you like to go if you get them running good, I have a 96 XLT 4.9 5 speed 100% factory and would drive here anytime, Good luck hope she runs great for a long time for you, Nice ride you have there
