Very helpful. Thank you for laying out the pros and cons. There is one use case however that is really difficult to solve is when you start as a solo founder and then try to find a co-founder. It’s very difficult and time consuming to do if you don’t know anyone in your close circle of relationship. And you don’t necessarily have a ton of capital. You are also likely bootstrapping your company. I think one way to start building that team around the solo founder is to research people willing to be an advisor, maybe it’s someone with a domain expertise that is critical to your business. In many cases the advisor could be compensated as a consultant but be offered equity that is representative of what they bring. Generally as a solo founder the most important to show is traction. If you are able to make meaningful progress, this increases your chance of getting that seed round of investment so you can afford to pay for employees or contractors.
