I can't tell you how much I appreciate this podcast. I love seeing the real personalities we usually see as comics. And I love hearing you talk about things out of my comfort zone... As a white relative of many Black people, I need this.

Wow! As a retired teacher of history and government who tried to deal with some of these things long before CRT became a thing, this was awesome. It hurt me to think as X said it took 400 years to say racist and it will take 400 more to get past it. I taught an awful lot of kids who are past it now. My hope and prayer is that they will change this world. Your comment about tired and resilient was right on I think. Keep that optimism and know that you have more support than you know. And beyond that you made me laugh out loud a bunch of times.

My first lightbulb moment with Roy Wood Jr was when he insisted on stapling the receipt to the outside of the bag. My privileged self pays a lot of attention now in places I never thought about before. All this is serious and informative, and some of it is angering. But tonight he stopped me with, "the fastest way to the couch is hogging the bag fries". Human rights, critical race theory, and relationship advice. My hero.

Other countries distinctions for race are not listed on every application for jobs, schools, mortgages, etc, like the USA does. Why does every entity has to know this distinction? To help perpetuate the racism. Maybe the Census application is probably the only place to fill in your race status in my opinion. All other applications throughout the country should have only 2 boxes to check under race; American or Non-American.

Mr. Wood, I believe you meant to say “lustrous” not “illustrious” about X Mayo’s hair. Indeed, it is absolutely lustrous.
@lalalaism1

Pretty sure he knew what he was saying. It’s literally his profession to know what he’s saying. Correcting a black man - who is a professional comedian and television host - on how he praises a black woman’s hair - whose hair is likely illustrious within the writers’ room - is literally the definition of white presumptuousness. I just don’t get why you would you assume he does not know what he’s saying?
