Superb as always. The great first step in the reform of American higher education would be for the Hoover Institution to assume control of Stanford University.

Senor has the best podcast on what’s happening in Israel 🇮🇱. His guests are the most connected.

Thank you. Extraordinary. One of the best discussions (many from the Hoover Institution) that are intelligent, profoundly well informed and greatly illuminating.

Overall great discussion. Two points of contention: 1 - Many of us have the Jews back. Please do not throw us under the bus. Life is hard and we all need to give each other more grace and charity. 2 - The first hatred was hatred of good. Missing the mark and enjoying it. Hating the mark.

"These people I work with, the non-Jews, would knife me in a heartbeat." If Dan Senor honestly believes that another Kristallnacht is imminent in the US, then either he or I is dangerously delusional. I hope for all our sakes that I am not the deluded one.

Rabin was assassinated due to Netanyahu stoking the cauldron at the time - his widow refused to shake his hand at her husband’s funeral… and who is in power now?

A great episode! History will vindicate Israel.

Brilliant. However, a month before Rabin was murdered, he made a speech in the Knesset in which he opposed a Palestinian state and instead spoke of an autonomous entity. Rabin saw things through a military lens.

Thank you, I have been listening to Call me Back and Secrets podcasts for some time, and this conversation combines the best of both podcasts in depth and breadth of analysis. I think that Dan Senor does not give enough weight to the role of anti-Israel, anti-Zionist, and outright antisemitic Jews in the US and Europe. There were prominent Jews in Germany who were hostile to Judaism and to the Jews as a people. One of the lessons is that the US Jewish community should be much more forceful in exposing the bigotry of prominent (anti)liberal=woke Jews in the leadership positions, be it Bernie Sanders, or the Pritzkers, or some Hollywood personalities, the list is long and varied. With all the money and influence of the successful American-Jewish community, when one thinks of defending Israel and the Jews and the values of the Western civilization overall, “where is everybody”? It seems that in the US, the danger for the Jewish community come from within as much as from the outside. Unlike Europe, the Jews in the US are not a group hosted by a larger nation and dependent on its benevolence. Jewish Americans are a smaller group in a mosaic of various groups of different sizes but who have made pretty comparable contributions to the prosperity of America. American Jews need to own their success and defend their contributions, it will also make it much easier to defend the achievements and rights of Israel as a miracle success country

Rather than engage the criticism of those opposed to Israeli policies - you paint them as a force of disorder - vocal advocacy and civil disobedience are legitimate forms of political engagement even if you don't like it Yes, the message is valid - Israel as presently constituted is an apartheid state - Gazans are under Israeli sovereignty and they've been treated like prisoners in their own country for the crime of being Palestinian Biden is facing electoral pressure across the board - it's not just college students and it's not meager- failed to cite the "uncommitted" Democratic primary campaign that managed to win delegates to the Democratic convention - this is a big boy political issue Yes, people tolerate Israeli abhorrent decisions and inhumane treatment of its own people because it is relatively rich and powerful locally - all you have to do to continue indulging in disgusting behavior is to be rich and powerful forever - good luck with that - nothing lasts forever- and rotten structures find a way to self destruct Intifada is an Arabic word that literally means “shaking off”, and in the Palestinian context, it is understood to mean a civil uprising - the first Intifada started as peaceful protests and the IDF responded by slaughtering the protestors - make peaceful protest impossible and you make violent conflict inevitable Stop killing and blacklisting people who disagree with you and want you to stop killing and oppressing innocent people - simple as The skin in the game is a moral obligation to bring about justice on behalf of those too weak to bring it about themselves. It is a response to Israeli policies of ethnic cleansing and apartheid and a desire to divorce themselves from any connection or association with them HAMAS is an ideology - you cannot kill your way to defeating it. You have to tackle the root cause of its existence which is the violent struggle against Israeli policies of ethnic cleansing and apartheid of its own people If someone has a history of abuse of their family, their neighbors wouldn't like them either -same with Israel and a hypothetical Palestinian state Yes, some people do use criticism of Israel as a euphemism to target Jews, but MOST folks just want Israel to stop embracing ethnic cleansing and apartheid policies - you cannot ignore the criticism because - "muh Holocaust" Don't let your trauma rot your brain and keep you from seeing sense. The honest critique is - people want Israel to stop embracing ethnic cleansing and apartheid policies - you're not a victim - as you say Israel is rich and powerful - with that power comes responsibility - Israel's failure to wield that responsibility correctly is why things have gone so wrong for the Israeli state.

So much of this sounds like Ben Shapiro's talking points. Who is influencing who? They are good points no matter what. Long live Zionism!
@lawrencefrost90637 ай бұрын
Essentially, much of what anyone expresses is a reflection of the myriad influences they've absorbed over time. Whether through reading books, listening to speakers, or engaging with media, our thoughts and opinions are inevitably shaped by the inputs we receive. In our interconnected world, where information flows seamlessly across various platforms, it's almost inevitable that ideas will overlap and converge. This isn't necessarily a matter of direct influence or imitation, but rather a testament to the collective nature of human knowledge and communication.
