Those higher-ups that never played Overwatch in their life decide what gets worked on next. The devs are paid to do what they're told to do. Nobody is shitting on the dev team but they sure didn't develop 50 new things, because they were not told to. They literally can't unless they get a green flag by the higher ups.

And they get that by milking us with overpriced skins and battle passes a la Fortnite. The PvE is not going to give them the money the shop and battle pass does. Like he said near the end, Blizzard KNEW the backlash this news would cause and did it anyway. That tells me: A) Blizzard truly doesn’t care about Overwatch and this was just an elaborate pump-and-dump before the game is pulled off life support, or… B] They actually have something halfway-decent up their sleeve but knew it wasn’t the 2019 vision of PVE, so they’re tanking expectations early ahead of season 6.

Fans have even created three separate games: open fortress - for Quake fans. tf2 classic - for fans of the original without caps or new guns . Pre-fortress - play TF2 according to the rules of the demo, it is very different from the well-known TF2. YES TF2 FANS ARE LAUGHING [mocking laughter of mercenaries]

Honestly, the funniest thing is, this is basically the best content that overwatch 2 has come out with since its been announced. Ive legitimately had more fun watching people shitting on the game than Ive gotten playing it ever since they stopped updating this game. I play in GM1 and top 500 and I feel like the throwing and arguing is just terrible. I was going pretty even today and then all at once I got leavers and throwers like 4 times in a row so it's like they are using throwers to force 50 percent winrate or something. They did something to the matchmaking in season 3 and ever since then it felt pretty bad but season 1 and 2 actually felt pretty good in my opinion. The fact that almost every new skin that is half decent has to be paid for doesn't help either though lol.

Im completetly shook that people ever thought pve was coming. It was years ago where they had xqc etc. be at a con to play a preview of the pve content (ow2 wasn't even mentioned). They never said anything about it again and the game was long dead after the years: goats, e-sport downfall, moira release 0 fixes to bugs (doom still glides targets with 0 dmg). Then they announced ow2, everything that we saw was the same but the UI being blocky - who tf thought this was worth it, day 1 of it's reveal and it was a clear thing that this was a patch - the game kept on barely cuz ppl thought pve would come???

TF2 players right now: from the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh(Valve), it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel(Strong community), i aspired to the purity of the blessed machine(Community content). Ngl every time I think the PvE has always been a lie to justify turning Overwatch, a regular game like BF, into a Fornite-like F2P grindy pay to win game with microtransactions all over the place, a rotating money only store, battlepass, etc and with little to no care for the people who payed for OW or who don't intend on wasting money on OW2 a small part of me laughs even harder as if it was it's way of saying, "I knew it !". It's no longer even a game, it's the death sentence of Blizzard as a company, no Diablo or WoW is gonna get them out of there, they dug their own grave, and in a way, I'm happy. My condolences to all who didn't get bored and actually stuck with the game for longer than 3 months.

And don't insult Indie companies, because those have been making games actually worthy of the AAA title and cheaper too I'm just glad I got out of Overwatch back when there wasn't a wrongly placed "2" on it, anyone still playing this game is a sucker and are the reason these companies feel they can do this. I feel for anyone who really put the work in since the beta of OW1 who tried to push the boundaries of this game, raising the skill ceiling, discovering new tech... Only for Blizzard to shut your efforts down. That was the first bad sign, and there have only been more since then. The final nail in the coffin... Come to TF2 you guys, we don't have a dev team either but at least you won't have to live in fear that they might just pull the plug on your game

I played Overwatch almost every day. I could still be playing Overwatch but they deleted the game and replaced it with an inferior cashgrab that I can't even access because you need a phone number and you can't give them your phone number if you've moved countries

All Hope Lost.. So SAD I've been playing OW since day 1 with over 2500 hours. I love the game and believed in a bright future and always stayed hopeful and positive. When they LIED I quit for good ! The Blizz team is a mess the quality has been awful ( Heroes not ready at launch, Broken updates, Crazy Bugs and much more). OW2 does not have the magic OW1 had and now they LIED and no PvE... After 7 years of OW I broke free and it and feels good. Overwatch will never break my heart again.. OW is just a broken Cash Grab now,,, CYA .... AKA.... Warhand

its crazy. game (ow) is out for like 2 years, and its booming. blizzard decides to make a sequel for more money, since thats what they do this is in 2018. ow1, been out for 2 years. and now FIVE YEARS LATER we still have ow1 even tho the supposed sequel is out, and guess what, theres less content in the game. on fire, progression, ranked system, all worse or gone. an entire gamemode and a set of maps gone (i actually think 2cp would be much better in ow2 sice, one les person to stall, one less tank, game is more lethal its not hard to teamwhipe at all compared to ow1)... we have gotten a few more heroes, but i think we would have the same amount if not more without a sequel. we didnt need a sequel for a new gamemode, or new maps... we also did not need this for hero reworks, even the 5v5 update did not need a new game. blizzard really has fucked it up here. its amazing that a fucking intern could do a better job than the "professionals" at blizz. i think everyone who can should uninstall, and dont play the game much more until something happens. ow2 went for a double or less (not nothing) with a 1% chance of success. its crazy how this is even possible in this day and age.
