I dont think i said exactly this, but i believe i made a mention of nadu being a worse deck online because of its loops being time consuming so they either just make a ton of tokens or have to play thassas oracle

The One Ring feels like the Force of Will of the format. It kind of holds decks that shouldn't compete together and holds other decks in check. It also is fun to play with, while not necessarily being that annoying to play against. I would like to know however, what decks will emerge to beat energy if Nadu gets the axe? Energy is pretty powerful, and may be too powerful - Guide of Souls should probably not even be a card considering the closest consideration was a 4 mana bird from a previous block. Also why should it be Nadu banned when Shuko with Urza's Saga being the number one reason why the deck is so consistent? I don't think fearing a collected company deck with en-kor effects is something that will hold the format for ransom... As far as mono-black is concerned, soul spike isn't the issue, it would be the enchantment that draws as many cards as you have life. And then there is eldrazi, which is the only midrange deck that compete with energy decks at scale, however with nadu being shipped to tier 2 status after a Shuko ban, tax style decks can come back into the format and punish big mana decks.

The thing with Nadu is that, yes, is very powerful, but also have the glaring issue that Wizards can't use the best tool they could use to measure its potency (MTGO and MTGA) because of the time limits on the games preventing the Combo from fully functioning and most LGSs don't really report their events to Wizards either. So. they must basically rely on Tournaments they DO organize themselves (PTs and RCQs) to do this. But, here's the thing: There's no guarantee we'll see the situation that happened in the PT Amsterdam repeating again since, now, every pro player is fully aware that Nadu is going to be (one of) the Deck(s) to beat and will be prepared to deal with it (so expect Decks/Sideboards with a good chunk of Nadu Hate (5 Damage Spells, Boardwipes, cards that punish Adding cards to hand/Landfall Triggers, etc) during this month's RCQs. One of the biggest factors that allowed Nadu Decks to perform like it did on PT Amsterdam is the fact that most players never expected Nadu at all, they all expected Ruby Storm (which is the biggest factor that explains its poor perfomance on PT Amsterdam). Now, with every player finally aware of it, will Nadu be capable of overpowering the hate that will be definitely coming against it and consistently top/win every RCQ next month? If it can, then a ban to Nadu is more Guaranteed more than ever. If it cannot (and Nadu's Performance on PT Amsterdam will remain a one time thing that stems from players failing to plan for the event correctly because of the lack of time between MH3's Release and PT Amsterdam), then it will be unlikely we'll see a Nadu ban and, if we see one, it will be a half meassure that will likely not trully work

As a yawg enjoyer I have to say that being incidentally hit by focused creature hate and activation hate because of the deck to beat being so similar to ours has been...annoying to say the least! Looking forward to when sideboards adjust to Nadu being out of the format.

@KMProtectionServices just weird to think that nadu is just “another good combo deck” when its head and shoulders better than anything else in modern. Ive seen enough in person events and online results to know that nadu is toxic for the format
