Yes, Joe McDorman left in 1960 when he decided he wanted to go to college and get married. I always wonder if he was sorry he made that decision, seeing the success The Statler Brothers had in their career. One of the best blend of voices ever and some of the most wonderfully clever song lyrics, which were mostly written by Don. Sometimes Don and Harold as a team and when Jimmy came along, he wrote several.

It’s hard to tell. If he stayed they may not have been nearly as successful without Don’s songs.

@@Commentleaver-c6x That's true. You never know. They might have had Don's songs anyway. And his voice and became a quintet. But then the quintet might not have sounded as good as the quartet. It's strange to think how different anything could have been in anyone's life but for one move by one person.
