New Sub here. Going back and binge watching your older video. Love the way you and your husband parent. Letting your kids be themselves and showing everyone what they are capable of - so much!!! As for the topic of this video, I hope Huxley was able to find a new parent just like you. He deserves better than what he had. Thanks for all the videos. Take care & have fun!!

My issues with some these mommy vloggers is that some are making large paychecks using their child's image. some money should go to the parents, because they are working, but there should be money set aside in the child's name just like they legally have to do for children actors.

I work with children with autism and they are the greatest gift around. The Huxley situation made me sad when she put duct tape around his hands to make him stop sucking his thumb.

My wife and I have raised a little girl since birth. Addicted to fentynal and diagnosed with mild autism. Shes so perfect and with us almost 3 years....however...the State of NH wants to reunify her with her drug addicted mother. Shes only recently started way more eye contact and now .....kissing us!😃 Im trying to find a way for our state to not hurt this sweet little girl more. Ty for your channel. 🙏☀️

Is her mother doing everything that the mother needs to do to be reunified with her daughter. What part of New Hampshire are you located in? I dealt with DCYF in Claremont with my daughter .Who was fostered and adopted by her forever family. Her farther and I were involved with DCYF because there were concerns about us taking of her basic needs. Along with that there was also domestic violence involved as well. I was involved for the first little over eighteen months of her life until I voluntarily surrendered my parental rights to her so she could be adopted which took another little bit over 18 months until she was adopted by her forever family who was also her father family. It took them a grand total of bit over three and a half years from start to finish.

I've had very similar thoughts to you hearing everyone's opinions on the Stauffer situation. It is usually pretty clear to me in watching a channel whether the kids are happy to film or not. With the family channels I watch it's pretty clear that they respect the kids' privacy and would never show anything they'd be embarrassed to have online.

Hi Cammie. I'm glad you covered these really tough topics. I was shocked and horrified when I saw all the stuff about the Stauffers last week and watched tons of videos about it but kept wondering if you'd seen it and what your opinion was. I feel so bad for Huxley and his siblings and I know what you mean about not being able to imagine life without siblings. I was a little worried that you were going to say you'd be stopping your vlog, and I'd totally understand if you did, but I always noticed how much you respect your kids' privacy. I've noticed Maggie watching the vlogs in the background of videos (I like how she named the autism discussion you and Sadie had 'school'), and her asking to take pictures, and one time I went back to I think your first video ever and at the end Sadie, Patrick and James said they wanted to make more videos. So I definitely never thought they were unwillingly in videos. As always, this continues to be one of my favorite KZbin channels and I always love watching new videos.

I followed them for a while too but when Myka started getting angry that Huxley wasn’t picking up on verbal language or sign language even after “all his therapies” and when she kept complaining about him, I mostly stopped watching. It was obvious he didn’t fit in to their “perfect” life. When I did watch another video at a later date, she was trying to raise many thousand dollars to get him a stem cell transplant to “cure” his autism, I unsubscribed immediately. I really hope his “new family” is more loving and kind to him. I hope they cherish him for exactly who and how he is. I also worry about the other Stauffer children. Do they think if they aren’t perfect they’ll get sent away??

It makes you wonder what they’d do if one of their biological children had special needs. An adopted child is your child not something you buy find out it doesn’t fit and then send back. This doesn’t mean that adoptions don’t fail but special needs shouldn’t be a factor to that.

They did know he had severe issues before they adopted him. “Rehoming” is rare when it come to adoptions that have been finalized, they had him so long and made so much money off his story. Yes i agree the way they treated him was bizarre that beautiful boy deserves the best and is better off. We know your heart mama you guys are not like the other blogging families i would never put you in that category.

When she said that they had put so much “time and money” into helping him you instantly realize that they were trying to or thought that they would be able to “fix” him. I have a physical disability and that statement had me fuming! Also, now that I’ve watched the rest of the video lol, I think most people with a disability have that urge to want to advocate and teach people about their differences....it sounds like that’s what Maggie is wanting to do. Get that girl a video camera!! Lol

I also have a physical disability - the visable end of mild Cerebral Palsy, Spastic Diplegia. That same brain injury also impacts things like visual-spatial processing and the act of actually forming letters and words on a page - dysgraphia. My printing is chicken scratch. I have sensory issues - mostly with loud things. So I'm not neurotypical, and I honestly would probably be diagnosed as on the spectrum as an adult, but it's not something they were looking for when I was a kid, especially not in people AFAB. Anyway...I don't think we should be trying to change something that really isn't a problem at all and really is a big part of who someone is. I don't want a cure. I like my brain most of the time. Trying to give your kid the best treatment, more so that they can live their best life and be comfortable in their own skin than anything else, is very different. It really feels to me like she wanted him to be what she wanted, rather than wanting to help him to be his best self. Even if we both disagree with Myka about what therapy is for, she still didn't even pay for all the therapies and treatments she could have. He wasn't worth that to her. Instead, she complained about how expensive he was while wearing a six thousand dollar watch. No one needs that. A one thousand dollar watch is plenty fancy and I wouldn't even bother with that over a child's therapy. I really hope he gets the love and affection he deserves now, and that he gets the right therapies to become a happy, well-adjusted, autistic individual. He seems like such a sweet kid.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I was a fan but when they started talking more and more about Huxley and I felt they felt like superheroes trying to save a life instead of just talking care of their child like any other parent would. I felt uncomfortable and ended up unfollowing almost a year ago. I really really really wish that kid the best

Hi Cammie, how u doing? Haven't talked to u in a while and need to get cought up on videos. I have tons of your vids in my watch list 🤣🤣🤣 when did u change ur name? This story has been super heart breaking and I almost did a video on it but decided not too. The more I see the more I don't like her. I never could get into her vids cuz she seems fake. She says he didn't want to live there anymore. A 4 year old non verbal autistic child. Not buying it 🤦🤦 ppl like her give family vloggers (us) a bad name. 😭😭 I have more shutdowns and disassociation now but I had a crap tons of meltdowns as a kid. Lol
