It also has a -15% standard and ER laser duration quirk, it's a great standard or ER medium skirmisher.

Man, that build is kinda ridiculously hot, I feel like medium X-pulses need a super small buff, like a tiny bit less heat. Don’t wanna make them OP of course. I guess I would also run your suggested alternative build with dropping the rockets for heat sinks, I don’t like rockets too much, personally.

Incubus is a clan mech. Clan XL can operate with a torso gone.

All the people commenting about the sub-1 heat management, that's purely because of the X-Pulse lasers, the game cannot accurately display the heat, and even adding a single X-Pulse screws with the readout. 0.76 isn't bad for multiple X-Pulse lasers, especially when added to stealth.

@@sammydavis5628Oh yeah, it runs hot, and Bara should have set up a chainfire group, but you can't judge an X-Pulse mech by the heat management readout.

I wonder what new weapon will be the basis of his next build? Personally, I love the Silver Bullet Gauss. Fires more projectiles than the Heavy Gauss, has lower cooldown and takes up less tonnage and slots. Got Dual Silver Bullets on one of my Fafnirs.

After testing and crunching the numbers mediums just aren't worth the heat to damage/ range ratio. 6 mediums is 5.4 heat for 9 damage at 270 meters per volley and 4 larges was before patch 5.4 heat (now 6) for 9.6 damage at 480 meters per volley. And just for fun you would have to fire 16 small x pulse to generate 5.4 heat

I run it with 2 ERLL, XL engine, 2jj and a TC. Obviously a niche build and 40% of the time you get raped because of no brawling ability. When you get a good sniping spot you can pump out the dmg though. It's hilarious how many people use thermal imaging and cannot see you. Can catch people out even at point blank.

Situational mech builds with sub 1 heat rating, just not a good combo. You can't control what a team does nor the map per say.
