Great video. Something that stood out to me is how almost everything you say is reflected in the video. I was alive and just old enough to remember life when the Atari 2600 was the thing to have. I've literally went from seeing the "main character" as a block on the screen, a flat square with 4 corners with the original Adventure at 6 years old.... to just under 40 years later seeing a world like Witcher 3. It's insane

@markusmitchell8585 At least the Xbox/Playstation can run the shit it says it can. They made shortcuts to cut costs for the deck. I'd rather pay $2,000 and have a hand held that's actually optimal, with better cooling, better display, and an external battery that can be swapped for a charged one. But they made the deck shitty on purpose so that they could rake in more money for the Deck 2.0 that fixes the intentional problems that should have been addressed in the first place.

I just got one in Australia yesterday and am quite pleased with it. Screen was actually much better than I thought it was going to be. There's a secret 3rd option for storing your games: external drive. I have a spare 1TB SSD so I just have a bunch of games backed up on that. I can easily just go into Desktop mode, plug in the SSD, update any game I'm interested in playing and just transfering it over to the Deck. Transfer it back once I'm done with it. Easy peasy.

@Cool Stuff It stands for network attached storage, and its exactly what it sounds like. Basically a pc attached to my home network full of hard drives that act as essential an external drive. I have one, just the standard 64gb model. But a few months later I kind of am feeling like I should have waited for a later updated model. I also wanted to say that I do feel like people who get these really should have some knowledge of how Linux works. If you have games outside of steam it isn't as easy as just downloading them at times. I've run into problems with games outside working one day and then suddenly not working the next probably due to updates. And I also worry about the updates causing other issues everytime one is released. I also feel like the dock is 100% needed to get the most enjoyment of the the SD.

Why do you prefer to use your deck without adjusting tdp, refresh and clock speeds per-game? These settings save and carry over for each time you launch that game and MANY of the games you're only getting an hour on will easily go to 2, 3 and sometimes 4 hours based on those settings. You are crippling your own experience because 'you prefer to'.
