I Lived in Llanfairfechan below in the 70's as a child, went up there a few times, seemed very steep at the time.

@@yan24to hi Ian, yes it is very steep. We found it easier from the top & descending to the engine….still a steep section to negotiate though.👍

Hello, Kelly here... Again, very nice. In my "Minds Eye" I can picture the freshness of the air and the earthy smells. Looking forward to the next Vlog!! Thanks....

@@kelly-hg5nd7hs8f many thanks Kelly, yes, we can vouch for that for sure. Each visit was very windy which made drone flying difficult 🙄🤦‍♂️. Don’t know if you know, but I also have a second channel…sneaky day trip. The channel is dedicated to short ( about 3 minutes) from our days out if you’d be interested in checking it out, but no worries if not. Thank you for your continued support, much appreciated 😊🙏👍

Good to see a different location Mark, often pass by here on my way to Rhyd Ddu. I used to subscribe to Outdoor Photography but gave it up a few years ago, Yes it was good until so many articles started to repeat themselves.

Full marks again on another interesting explore Mark. We must get back to gain drone footage in less windy weather. Great stills and drone footage 🙂👌.

The buildings are locked up because there are either Bats or Birds in there. I viewed a vireos on it a while back, just can't remember if it was Bats or Birds. Gone past this quarry many times over 50 years and always had a good look up. Is the clock still there?

@@m3zov thank you for confirming what we eventually thought. Yes the clock is still on the hillside & mostly working again now. 👍😊

My father in law spent forty plus years up there when there was still a mountain the mountain now is a fraction of the size it used to be it used to dwarf the works clock in pen sadly the quary got rid of him because he had severe arthritis they would have had to employ him now under the disability act some of those pony's would have been bred from his stock as all the farmers in that area own them.

@@davelar3868 wow, thanks for the information Dave. Sad to hear how they treated your father in law back then. Those ponies at least have a quieter life now with plenty of space to roam. Thanks again.🙏👍

I seem to recall my geology professor saying that Penmaenmawr granite was not a true granite being am igneous diorite.
