Thank you so much for the support on the video! This is something we were really passionate about and thought there must be more people out there who feel the same way. We never expected this to pick up as much traction as it did. So glad everyone is loving the video!

Growing up changes things for sure, but you are probably not the only one growing up. Your backlog is probably growing up as well, becoming strong and healthy.

If you keep making these kind of documentaries, your channel will gain huge popularity! I didnt expect much from a channel with only 24 subs (25 now lmao) but this video was actually very well done and expressed these thoughts i also had been having about the steam sales. Dont stop making these videos its awesome ;D

Those mini-games and events during summer sale were the reason I waited a whole year for it, too sad they are not doing that anymore.

Hi. Not sure if you read all the comments on your videos as you have tens of thousands, but your Mario video first brought me here. Mind you I never played Mario past Mario 64. So it fascinating to see how big the world was. I didn't even know it was a planet. Might I add the video itself was incredibly well done. So I've been going through your videos in reverse order. Now I am at this one, which appears to be your first. Even this one is well done. Were you into video editing before this? The quality is amazing. I also loves all your videos now. Even if some of the content isn't applicable to me really. This video, such a good one. I am in my 40s and yep. The Steam sales just aren't what they used to be. I didn't finish watching the video yet so I'll probably say what you did of course. But I know for me when more platforms started coming out and having their own sales. And then some started offering free games. Or having holiday discounts... it just made Steam feel the average. On top of that over time many of the sales aren't that great or are still for older games. Like getting 10% of a newer triple A game isn't really anything to exciting. On top of that the Summer sale used to be more involved and fun. Like playing various games or doing activities to earn stuff (all be it useless) for Steam. Now its just a sale and now much else to it. About the only thing exciting on Steam is the GOTY voting they do for various categories. And of course since Steam lets most anyone release games on them. Its also become somewhat daunting during sales to sort through thousands of indie games to find something good and thats on sale. As others have said, 99% of Indie games on Steam are just terrible. Or unfinished or in some cases fake/quick money grabs. I still love Steam though. I have the 20 year badge now. Of course the older you get, you also sometimes find yourself less obsessed with the sales as life requires more attention later on in life. I still check Epic for its free weekly games. I check Prime Gaming for its monthly free games. Steam though, not so much. Unless there was a game I wanted REALLY badly. Even then the sale has to be huge for me to download.

Wouldn't know, Valve locked access to Steam -- and along with it, all of my legally purchased games -- from being used on Win7 at the turn of the year. _Despite selling games that actively do not run on Win8 and above._ I know who isn't getting any more of my money, that's for sure, sale or not.
