I feel like watching this interview after watching the movie, the movie makes more sense. There have been negative and positive views of the film because it was not the same as the book. Yes, there were a lot of changes that were not the same as the book but we also have to be open-minded that movies cannot be the same as the book. PERIOD. Hearing the directors point of view towards After makes me see, in clarity, why the film ended as it did. It was the small things that carried the essence of the book that was integrated throughout the movie that Jenny Gage, Anna, Josephine, and Hero pointed out which makes me understand and appreciate the film even more.

Anaria Elinta i personally really liked it. idk if you‘ve read the book but the movie‘s different but in a good way. the old scenes& new scenes fit really well together and i liked the newly added scenes. the movie mainly focuses on tessa&hardins love story and not so much on the other characters (at least not as much as in the book). i genuinely liked the movie eventhough they changed some things. i‘m not sure what else i can say because i don‘t want to spoil you haha but if you‘re thinking about going to watch it, do it! it‘s worth it

The movie was horrible. I didn’t read any of the books beforehand and neither did my fiancé and we were both confused AF. Like they fell in love in 2.5 seconds (literally) and there was noooo deep connection between them. I just looked at the book length and I feel like they made the wrong move making a 600 page book into and hour and a half movie. I wasn’t connected to anything. There wasn’t even a plot, just a bunch of fans favorite scenes shot. Terrible.

I can't believe this inaccuracy, the books are New Adult romance which means they are for 18+ readers. In absolutely no world can they be categorized under YA. Even the movie isn't PG-13 everywhere so please stop marketing as though it's for children. Also, the story in the books is completely different to what you see in the movie to proceed with caution, the books' content might be triggering to some people.
