Roger Kumble is a better director than Jenny Gage. Like, Jenny ruined the entire first movie and had the audacity to lie and say she read all the books. Judging by the trailer the second movie is going to be so amazing. Seriously, what the hell was Jenny thinking making the first movie PG-13? Thank you Roger for making the second movie closer to the book. If Jenny Gage had stayed the director the film series would have flopped. I can already see that the second movie is going to be another huge success, maybe a bigger success than the first film.

Anna said after was also filmed as a r rated movie but they weren't allowed to release that. They had to film it again in pg-13. That's not something Jenny can do anything about. I agree that Roger is a better director but that's personal preference since Jenny is not a bad director who wasn't fully responsible for ruining the first movie.

She made the movie PG-13 which as a result derived us (the After fandom) of the movie we were supposed to have. And not only that but she didn't allow Anna Todd to have any say in the film. If Anna had any say the film would have turned out much differently. I'm sorry for Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin who had to star in such an awful film. I'm sure they are embarassed by the first film but seem proud of the second one. Jenny Gage should never be allowed to direct another film again. I dislike that woman and I will always dislike her for ruining After. And she had the audacity to lie and say she read all the books. Um, no she did not because if she did read all the books the first movie would have been rated R and had more scenes from the book in the movie. The first film left out so many important detals like, for example, Hardin confessing his love for Tessa in front of his friends. And she changed Tessa, Hardin, and most of the other characters' personalities as well. Tessa was more confident and put together than in the book and Hardin was more soft, like a sad boy instead of a bad boy. Not once in the film did he ever raise his voice, curse, or used his sarcastic humor which were big traits that made me fall in love with him. I'd give the first film a 4/10 only because Josephine and Hero have amazing chemistry and I loved the cinematography and the soundtrack. Once again, we are all entitled to our own opinions and Jenny Gage is a horrible director. I can't even stand to look at that woman's face or even hear her voice without feeling annoyed.

If you listen to what Anna said in this interview and in other once they made a part of the R-rated movie first with Jenny as director but they had to change it in to a PG-13 movie from higher people. You and all of us don’t know what kinda R-rated movie Jenny would have made if she were alowed to? Maybe she would have made the first movie more like the book just as we see Roger did. So she could have read all the books because again check your facts! She wasn’t the one who made the movie PG-13. And ofcourse you can find her a horrible director but then that should be because of other reasons as the little diagloge in the first movie or maybe you found the way the movie was shot weird but it cant be because it was a pg-13 movie with a changed story. That wasn’t her call to make. If you need to make the movie PG-13 you can’t keep the same thing, the bet as example about losing virginity and showing the fking bloody sheets because thats not PG-13 content. Thats not her fault. Jenny gage did g have the power to release the r rated version. They decided to release the pg13 so they would get more seats filled with younger viewers which would equal to more profits. Queen Fanfic she isn't a horrible director for making one bad movie. She hasn't done that many movies but the other one she did got the same audience rating as After and, much better, a completely, extremely higher rating by professional critics. That proves her director skills aren't bad, they can be good if having good material, good co-workers, dedication and a good story. Can't say i have seen that film, but a little research can easily prove your comment wrong.
