The offense was night & day with Russell under center. I was skeptical about bringing Wilson in for SNF vs the Jets... But he moved the ball better than the Steelers had the entire year.. With months of expected rust, Wilson came out like a seasoned vet and performed well under the bright lights. Exciting to see so many players like Van Jefferson get involved... Maybe the AFC can expect something different from Pittsburgh.

It started very slowly....but the finish was extraordinary!! Damn that looked like a fun one to be at. The towels flying when they played renegade and all the old-school players present. Najee caps it off with a run to paydirt. I could feel the energy all the way to my house in Chicago!!

❤ Mosdef slow but then he started hitting them passes and moving nicely in the pocket. I think there’s still some meat on the bone and hopefully they keep getting better every week!! And I’d like them to do something with JF long term even for 3 years sitting and learning the offense and reading defenses will come!! Then they have to open up the playbook for him

Conversely, there were SEVERAL plays Russ had open field in front of him and didn’t take it but Justin would’ve scampered for 20-25 yards. It’s just the nature of two different play styles. It’s clear they trust Russ with more of the playbook due to he’s a sb champ and league veteran but it doesn’t negate the positives Justin gave us through 6 weeks. Russ has a shot at redemption now but Justin could very well be the heir apparent to Ben. All that to say it’s a great problem to have with two capable qbs out there.
