The main reason most people even consider Majunga a sauropod hunter is because it's the largest carnivore in the formation which has multiple species of medium size sauropods. Carnotaurus is the same from what we know, we only have 3 named genus from the formation but Carnotaurus is almost (if not more than) 4x the weight of the 2nd largest carnivore there. Titanomachya is 5-7t when scaled off of Rapetosaurus, so it's not out of Carno's reach and could've been a reliable food source.

on one hand, yeah, the most recent paper indicates carno favored large game. on the other hand, you can see its lower jaw. that is pencil thin. the lack of agility is also not particularly favorable when hunting large game, though titanomachya is small enough to be viable, and smaller game can simply be rushed. given environment and unique overall biology, im almost tempted to say carno was a semiaquatic piscivore, with all the adaptations for a slim body, strong legs and tail, along with quick bites and swallowing large food. i dont like that conclusion either, but the jaw isnt deep enough for larger prey, and its not agile enough to avoid retaliation.

reconsidering, i think terrestrial small game hunter is probably an accurate assessment. the most likely environment throughout south america was probably open redwoods, similar to oregon, and the most common prey at any time was probably young titanosaurs. young titans probably weren't so fast as to totally avoid a carnotaurus charge, and even adult titanomachya could've been taken 1 on 1, though smaller, swallowable individuals would've been preferred. competition with large megaraptorans like maip probably kept abelisaurs in this lane, with the tyrants hunting most game within their size class while the sausages took everything outside that range, preferring smaller prey so as to keep their kills.

A lot of the OG classes are being left in the dust in wake of all these new classes, the Devs need to do their part in making sure that doesnt happen by giving creatures their well deserved buffs to keep them interesting in the future. Look I’m just going to come out and say it.. Carno is going to have a real rough time going forward with Allo, Rex and Trike coming to the game poor thing can’t catch a break.. On the other hand Stego Players are going to feel exactly the same way.

i can understand how big sauropods existed, they have blue whale logic. They were just so damn big when adult nothing wanted to mess with them - like how blue whales, which essentially have no defenses, do. ...but every time i see that there's like, tiny sauropods, i legit wonder how tf that sort of thing survived LOL no real defenses, can't hide, unlikely to be fast.. how was it not just fodder

Stamina is in a decent spot for most things currently imo. Don’t full sprint for straight 30 seconds without stopping and you’re good 🤣
