Keep your head up man, mad respect for putting it on the line like that. Nothing to be ashamed of at all. You had a lot stacked against you, and its really easy under that pressure for the mental game to fall apart and make some simple mistakes like these. Had you kept your calm and not felt the desperation to make up for the 10-8 off the trip, or let your guard down when the 10 second signal came through I highly doubt this would've happened. But, oh well it's a valuable lesson, and as you said in your vid what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. This is definitely an opportunity to learn and improve. Keep up the good work!

There's no reason for a man who's already making an impact in more important areas of society should ever suddenly take up boxing at his age. It's absurd. Hell, the people who do fight for a living hate it, and are only doing it because they feel it's their only road to a better life. Every fighter in the world will advise you that if you can make money doing something else...... do that something else! It's totally unnecessary to start boxing that late in life because it's not worth all the bullshit that comes with it.

The dude made Stevie look small. Kudos to Stevie and honestly I don't think he knew really what he was getting into. I watched his analysis of the fight and it really messed with his head. I think he realized though how much we love him as his fans win or lose we got hit back.

I've been a competitive combat athlete for over a decade and trained for almost 17 years. The size discrepancy and reach advantage from Chase had everything to do with the result. Stevie came out poppin the jab, throwing decent 1-2's. His inexperience caused him to resort to trying to kill Chase when he got frustrated and he abandoned the game plan. I have no doubt that if he comes back he'll win and/or have a much better showing. The first time fighting in front of people is difficult.

Dont forget the first knockdown early in the fight was a pinned foot. Not a real knockdown. Chase will get what's coming, I hope it's stevie that does it

Anyone who's been a competitive combat athlete for 17 years would know that both of them had comically bad stances, bad footwork, bad defense, and were throwing cotton-soft junk the entire time. I can't even apply real analysis to whatever that was, except to tell them both to stay out of the ring until they've put in some real training for a couple years. These social media influencer matches are a joke and shouldn't even be labeled as boxing. They are "midget fights baby kangaroo" levels of buffoonery.

Exactly this I didn't do boxing for long but it's the experience that helps you keep that like you said, even just doing body sparring in the training I did it's still daunting let alone getting into the ring itself massive props to Stevie for doing it!

Chase didn't watch to much hunger games, he's copying Israel Adesanya, but Izzy done it to his opponent Alex Pereira. and the reason why Izzy done it is because thats what Alex dose on his walk out because he has Brazilian native ties and is a skilled archer and Izzy lost to Alex 3 times so when Izzy ko'd him on him in the 4th fight, Izzy stuck 3 arrows in him and chase watched that, probably didn't know the context and thought he would copy it.

Stevie should definitely fight again. The guy analyzed his own faults, which clearly means he has potential to get significantly better. Better to have a guy with no training, but is instrospective, than one with a lot of training, that makes excuses for everything. Chase should get the boot. The guy clearly knew what he was doing and showboated afterwards. To me his demeanor is a facade. He tried to put on the face of a humble individual afterwards, but his actions reflect someone who acts on ego.

I'm glad you touched on this Knox! I have mad respect for Stevie for 1: stepping into the ring to begin with against a guy that was ridiculously heavier than him and 2: breaking down exactly what happened in the fight both physically and mentally. I think you made a great point about the ref. The ref needs to be in there and making sure to separate the fighters. I don't know if you got a second to see Stevie's response to feedback he got. It was cool. The community rallied behind him, and it was really nice to see. He's a good guy.

Yeah, this shit is precisely why I loathe refs across all sports. Half the time they’re useless at best, and a detriment at worst. In the case of boxing here, this negligent bullshit is how people get fucking killed in what should otherwise be a relatively safe sport, as odd as it might seem to call two people punching the shit out each other a safe sport. They can ruin entire careers, livelihoods, and lives with shitty calls, negligence, bias, and/or cowardice-and this statement goes for all sports that have referees. (I include umpires in baseball in this as well, since they have similar roles.) I’m not even someone who gets particularly invested in sports of any kind. I like some more than others, but overall I’m not really a sports guy. (I roll my eyes and occasionally sigh when family members yell at the TV while they’re watching football, if that says anything.) I just can’t stand refs. Do your damn job right or get the hell out. It’s infuriating. I wholeheartedly agree with Knox that the ref in this fight shouldn’t get to referee anything for the rest of his life. I’m utterly appalled by what I saw here. Sorry for the rant. This type of shit gets me heated. Also I have a tendency to ramble and rant anyway.

I was waiting to hear your perspective of the fight because you and Stevie are tight. I had a feeling that you were analysing everything as you would. I saw Stevie's posts and he has nothing to be ashamed of as the odds were stacked against him but still he rose to the challenge. But he was also done dirty and you're right, things could've ended much worse and thank God it didn't. Love the support and respect you have for one another. If Stevie fights again, I would bet he only has one opponent in mind. I wish you would have showed from Stevie's channel where Chase stepped on his foot when he got the first knockdown. Chase should be suspended until Stevie wants to fight him again.

Nothing but respect for Stevie. A lot of keyboard warriors can talk all they want but Stevie stepped up and did it. It didn't turn out how he hoped and he has been a very stand up guy talking about the fight. Nothing but love for the man. I hope he does more if it's something he wants to, as for Chase, I believe he should be suspended.

Glad you touched on this bro. I have been in combative sports my whole life, wrestling in school then mma, I still train in jiu jitsu and occasionally hit a tournament. ( I'm gettin a little old to keep doin this, 44) Its also very scary to be knocked out. If you have ever been knocked out or choked out, its not the most pleasant experience. But Stevie's tough. He will bounce back!!

Even in MMA a ref would’ve jumped in before then. Ground and pound doesn’t really apply once the other person can’t continue the fight. Then it’s just assault.

I’m six foot 175/180 range. I think he’d have to have a major cut and I’d have to put on. I don’t think its plausible. Plus at this moment with the family and everything going on behind the scenes I’m not too interested in it, that could change one day. Ask me five years ago and it would’ve been an auto yes lol. I've boxed, and been watching and around it for nearly 40 years and that was disgraceful to watch. Ref was terrible for not getting in earlier, and also if he wasn't DQ for that he should have been. You will sometimes see a pro lay a punch into a guy that goes to a knee, it happens in the heat of a fight, but often they get a warning or a point off for it, but this as way, way past that.

I think the role you and fellow reactors fulfill (depending on approach) can be equated with that of John Peel, in terms of exposing people to new independent music. It's a void that definitely needed to be filled.

Also. I saw it in person. It seemed like when they hit that 10 seconds left. I thought Stevie thought the bell had rung bcuz he looked like he gave up. I think he misread that for sure. Which lead to his downfall. But I believe Stevie definitely can whoop that dude!

To me neither Stevie nor Chase are mentally where they need to be to be an true boxer. Stevie tried to retaliate with out sticking to his approach to the fight after the first so called knock down. You can't be truly effective when driven by frustration or anger. Chase as well isn't disciplined enough to respectful of his opponent. Hopefully both will reflect on those issues and improve going forward. I was and forever will be in Stevie's corner. Live and learn

Not only that, but fatigue was setting in. That’s why those punches started losing that technical look. He wasn’t thinking of points. He was panicking due to fatigue. He also didn’t trip. He got knocked down

I think Chase should be banished from ANY kind of boxing!! I'm not a fan, as I find it barbaric. But if you're gonna get in the ring, you follow the f--King rules!!! I'm with Stevie too, though, as I saw the 2 times chase stepped on his foot. He went down because of that. Shouldn't have been a technical k.o. At least from what my limited knowledge provides me.

It really went from a BOXING MATCH TO AN ASSAULT AND BATTERY WITH DEADLY WEAPONS. A BOXERS HANDS NEED TO BE REGISTERED AS DEADLY WEAPONS EVERY YEAR. THAT REF NEEDS TO BE FINED

Props to Stevie for getting in there with a professional. Even the most scrub pro boxer is still a pro and a beast to deal with. It's not easy to step in there day after day, month after month, year after year, to get to where a pro needs to be at.

It's funny cuz he lost to the worst fighter ever but its sad how he lost..if there's a rematch I put all my money on Stevie knight because he now has the first fight gitters out of the way and he knows to watch his toes and plot turn his back..shout out to Stevie for stepping up to the challenge
