Eh, to each their own, but he was always too egotistical for my liking: "someone as wonderful as me" just smacks of ego. In fact, the entire song was him basically boasting about how great he thinks he is. And ego is such an obnoxious trait for a man to have!

@@shawniebyrd9393 Shawnie Byrd Like I said, to each their own, meaning it's a matter of personal preference. LOL! And, really, we're talking about a kid's cartoon. It's a silly thing to argue about, and I really wasn't here to do so, just to state my personal opinion. Rio's true to his feelings, too, just in a different way than Riot. Rio's hot headedness often boiled down to his being passionate over what he and Jem had. And, Jem was often pretty emotional herself in ways similar to Rio, who knows Jem/Jerrica far better than Riot does, given that Rio's been close to her since childhood. Meanwhile, Riot's arrogance makes him an arrogant snob, which is the exact opposite of who Jem is--in fact, she absolutely despises snobbery in others (as much as I do, really! It's my least favorite trait in guys!). So the way I see it, Rio's a far better match!

Vickie Sue Robinson preformed both Raptures and Minxs singing voice, overlaying it twice so it sounds like a duo. They are my fave backup "singers" from the series.

I’ve been saying that for years & Riot really gave Rio a run for his money involving Jem. Jem had several guys crushing her but he was the only one (not counting Rio) she was really into & was falling for. It’s a shame we only have a few episodes with The Stingers.

​@@Passionate_Aria I don't approve of Riot's earlier behavior but Jem actually did end up empathizing with him and falling for him after the show fleshed out his character more and she began to understand how his past and the struggles he faced shaped him. Truthfully for me they give me soul mate energy, I think they both are just young right now but would be great together with maturity, (were Jem a real person and had the show properly resolved the Jerrica/Rio Jem/Riot love square).
