I want to thank Monday Edo, Cheif Ebohon, and Ambassador Osayomore joseph. They really did well by putting the invasion into music for us the Igodomigodos not to forget. They taught if we didn't write it we will lose the history, but we used music to write it down to our Subconscious. Thank you Arise News for this great topic that transcend generations and beyond. This is profound! For someone who once lived in Benin City and is interested in African hustory, this obviously rings deep. I recall the visible popular ancient Bini Mote circling the ancient Bini Kingdom against their invaders. Thank you, Arise television, for this masterpiece. To you, Jennifer Olize, much love for the beautiful presentation, narration, and interview. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What about reparations?
@ADE-of-LAGOS2 күн бұрын
How about the one's we (in the south) don't know about? The tens of thousands of clay tablets taken away through the help of Fulani-Hausas in northern and central Nigeria to erase the history of previous dwellers of the land they occupy. The Benin artifacts are a tiny fraction of what was stolen.

There’s no Reparations in Edo language, the big big English y’all used to deceive Africa 😊

Are you kidding me???? The Benin Empire was an economic juggernaut.........the cultural and spiritual artifacts whilst important are not the main crux of this story. Frustrating when Africans do not have a full grasp of their own history. Juxtapose this with the reality that the nation Nigeria is a complete colonial creation and a dysfunctional polity as an intentional feature not a bug.
