My neighbours dog does this when she gets to excited, it's absolutely adorable since she's 14, blind and deaf as a brick, but so happy and weirdly attached to our other neighbor. Like if he's chatting with her owner, and stops petting her, she starts howling, just screaming like she's dying, until he kneels over to pat her more.
