The Stories of The Prophets | 1. Introduction: The Need of Sending Prophets | Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi

After doing a number of key history-based series on the Sīrah, and Lives of the Khulafā, and Stories of the Saḥaba, I took a long break from history and did my multiple series on aspects of our journey to the next life (Signs of Judgment; Barzakh; Qiyāmah; Heaven and Hell).
Now, I shall return to history, and go back to the beginning. I plan to do an extensive series focusing on the stories of the prophets (Qaṣaṣ al-Anbiyā) mentioned in the Quran, beginning with a few introductory lectures, and then moving on to Prophet Adam, and working our way down until the Prophet Jesus. This will be a very long series.
I plan to follow a unique methodology (as I'll explain in the introductory lectures) and aim to make this series (inshaAllah) the most comprehensive study of these stories in the English language. And as is my way, I will go down related and 'modern' issues as well, which are typically not discussed in our earlier works and bring in sources and aspects that will be of interest to the listeners.
The goal of all of these lectures is first and foremost to achieve the pleasure of Allah and then to help grow imān in our hearts and bring our people closer to their Lord, and their beautiful faith.
I ask Allah for His Divine aid and acceptance, and to make this series a benefit for me and for all those who listen to it. And I ask Him to guide all of us to that which He loves and to forgive any mistakes or errors that all humans are prone to.
