Thank heavens you and Molly weren't injured, at least physically. Had heard about the derecho. So sorry you were caught up in it. While watching the video I kept thinking how an RV could be flipped over by those winds, especially my little A-frame camper. Then you panned to the 5th wheel. Holy sh!#! Hope you and Molly's nerves recover and Classy can be salvaged.

Wind power is amazing. I've seen it blow loaded semis over. You have an A-frame? How cool. I really like those and see quite a few in campgrounds. Thank you for watching the vid and for your well wishies. Molly, Classy and I will be fine.

Wow this is terrible. I live in northern Illinois so we got it shortly after you. Trees down all over the place. So sad to see the old camper take some damage. Anyone who watches your video would all agree we are heartbroken for you. Having gutted our old class c I know that there is really not much to them when It actually comes to framing and support glad you didn't get hurt. That trailer on its side is scary. Got my fingers crossed its Not as bad as it initially looks.

John, thats my hometown. I was on the phone with family during the storm, you know Marshalltown was hit with a f4 tornado 2 years ago July. This is so much worse!! So glad you and your fur baby is ok

I have always hated camping under or around big trees, even though I like the shade I don’t like a big hole in the ceiling. Your're in my thoughts. We were just getting our RV Class C out of the storage garage here in Cedar Rapids when the sirens went off. Stopped to pump up a tire and heard the sirens, looked at the radar and hightailed the RV back in the storage garage. 45 minutes later after we took refuge in the storage garage we came out to absolute war zone. We count ourselves lucky that we had to air up a tire or we would have been on the highway when the storm hit.

Yeah, it's a bummer. The Class A in the video got scratched pretty badly and suffered a hole in it's fiberglass roof. And the camp hosts had their little full time trailer blown over and scraped across the concrete pad. I had met all these people and it made me sick to see their losses. I have no insurance, but I have the rest of my trip savings to work with. Thank you so much. 👴👍
