A violent piano composition made in FL Studio 24.
this one sounds so different with headphones at high volume :0
a long time ago I made a song called the forever storm !!!
i think a pretty clear pattern with my older works is that although some of them have nice ideas behind them, they kind of consistently suck in terms of execution ;-; ;-;
and so, I thought it would be fun to try and make a song with the same characteristics but executed with the extent of my present-day skills and knowledge !!!
(I also liked the idea in hopes of seeing if I could try and get a mood that felt like a fusion of my old and new styles of composition !! I'm actually not sure whether this worked though, so I'm very curious to hear what you guys think hahaha)
but anyways I think this might be my most intricate and cool piano composition yet, and I'm really happy with how it turned out !!!

reading the title and listening makes me imagine a grand part of a story where the main cast enters a forbidden zone. in the zone is a storm that never ends, moves, or dissipates. the storm doesn't clear, you do. within the chaos are mountains of ruins and bodies that are better left alone than to be retrieved. past that zone is a place of harmony with lots of lore. in that lore contains info about the main antagonist, and some info that will sound weird but will help a foreshadow to the later scenes.

wow was that cool!! it was so discordant and non-harmonic at parts but there was always that subtle handful of harmony that DID work well together that carried a sort of melodic motif through the chaos, which was sooo cool to listen to :0 if you remember my comment/feedback from checkpoint (day), I think I have some new things to build off of that after listening to this! the more that I think about it, this song does encapsulate a good deal of ancient azali (as u called it haha) if it had its chaos meter turned to the absolute maximum- but not all of it. I do think that with your new skills and music knowledge, your fundamental sound has changed a lot from what it was back then, but weirdly enough, it still carries the same emotion and mood that it did before. it's like if two different bottles of hot sauce were in front of you- one had the labels the brand used a year or two ago and one has the new label that the brand just made. it's still the same hot sauce (same musical emotion!) but with different packaging (more refined composition and mixing skills). I hope that wasn't too weird of an analogy haha, I just know you have a history of the loss of your favorite hot sauce on this channel so I thought I'd use that to convey what I mean! all in all, I think that you did a really good job of capturing the emotion and feel you had shot for in your original composition but were unable to quite reach- it almost feels like the full or actualized version of the original song that it sounds really cool! as for whether or not it has that same iconic azali "feel" that I mentioned in checkpoint (day), I think it actually does have a good deal of that old ring to it! to go back to my silly hot sauce analogy though, the music has definitely changed- maybe the new label on the hot sauce looks better (like how this song carries the emotion better than your old one!) even though the old label had a lot of charm to it that can't be regained (because your music style has changed and isn't exactly the same). overall, I really really like this song and would love to see more recompositions of your old stuff! I think making it more discordant and messy definitely helped emulate the inexperience you had and I would also love to see that sort of imitation of inexperience used in your future stuff :0
