What a nice fella, seems extremely humble and grounded. On a personal level, Ayla was the track that really kickstarted my love affair with trance, I was always listening to trance during the 90's, but that track smashed the ceiling for me and allowed all the other great artists to come flooding through. Ayla is a seminal track, Ayla is a classic track, Ayla is one of the very best from that era of music. Ingo should be very proud to have produced such a gem.

Its incredible how the DJ Taucher remix differs to the original. That's what I loved about remixes in the 90s. So many people when remixing tracks would take it in such a different direction or completely revamp the original, by taking a small sample and doing so much with it. I suppose you still get that today at times. I just hate when many trance producers take an uplifting trance track and make a very similar uplifting trance remix. Such a waste of opportunity to do something unique.

@@muzikxpress in some releases the Taucher one is sold as the "Original Taucher mix", so it could happen. I'll admit that I hadn't listened to the Tandu & Fact original version before watching this video and I really liked it. A product of its era, faster tempo, stronger bassline, some acid here and there and the mighty piano which was so popular back then. Darker melody which is a plus (at least for me). In '98 the trend was changing to the uplifting magic most of us enjoyed.
@eccIefechan6 ай бұрын
The original is very atmospheric and beautiful, but less catchy and less radio friendly than the Taucher mix. I like both versions, difficult to really compare them but if I had to choose, I'd say the original. The Kosmonova version released only one year later sounds very similar to the original Taucher mix, and Taucher did a "Taucher 97 Remix" of that which again isn't a great deal different.
