What is your all-time favorite Bedrock production or remix?

as much as I love Heaven Scent, For What You Dream Of was so far ahead of the field to be produced in '93 It really showed the potential for the rest of the 90's

I still remember hearing For What You Dream of in 1996 when it got re-released in Australia. I already thought it sounded ahead of it's time. Imagine my brain when I discovered it was actually recorded in '93! Bedrock have produced so many incredible tunes... Set In Stone and their remix of Shmuel Flash's 'Chilling Moments' are favourites, but this track is the one I always come back to. Can't wait to hear the interview Twan!

And they did it again with "Gridlock" in 2014 - sadly didn't get quite the recognition that "For What You Dream Of" got - but such a banger.

Nick is a real gentleman. Was lucky enough to spend some time with him earlier this year and told him how this record changed my musical direction forever. I now have it signed by Nick and John and in a frame on the wall.

This is probably your best interview yet Twan! What a nice guy Nick is! Also btw. A very early version of For what you dream of can be heard as early as february 1993 on Sasha Kiss FM show . In the end of that mix John Digweed makes a guest appearance and he introduces his latest track that at the time he called "The 5th Essence". It’s a version without the vocals and with a different arrangement!

WOW..that was an INCREDIBLE interview. I discovered bedrock in 1996 as I walked out of the Cinema after Trainspotting and straight into HMV to get the soundtrack so I could listen to “For What You Dream Of” again. It was such an exciting time for music. I didn’t know Bedrock at the time but they really blew me away. 👍👍

Bedrock were an important formative part of my tastes in dance music - they had this signature deep and menacing sound that gave such power to their tracks and remixes that I loved. Thanks for sharing this excellent interview. Also, it doesn't surprise me to hear that Nick, John and Sasha worked hard to get where they are - you had to back then.

Thanks 😊 Spectrum- Brazil will always be a classic to me as well as Acid house/Detroit Techno/Belgian new beat and techno. @muzikxpress I'm rooting for you sir. Thanks you for telling me that you do indeed hope to catch these legends and others one day...would love it if you do? Nevertheless, always loved your channel, always watch and thank you for your response. One of my personal faves is when you chatted to Franky Jones. It was amazing to hear he didn't like it at first! It just shows you that geniuses don't necessarily understand or appreciate their work at the time. Always informative and relaxed this channel. For that Sir...I salute you 🫡 Greetings from The original Glasgow. Love the Netherlands and Belgium. That's why I've been four times. Hope our dreams come true. Take care...Iain 🫶

@@otherworld8451 I’m working for Luminosity, so that means I have no time during (and before / after) the festival for interviews. Plus interviews at festivals doesn’t really work, too much noise / loud music and people walking around, which isn’t really helping for the quality of the interview.
