I couldn't help noticing the Velvet Ice Cream advertising on the side of the general store building. Velvet is still around today and you can still buy a pound of it for $1 at Summit Motorsports Park (It'll always be Norwalk to me) in Norwalk Ohio. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Greenfield Village, hopefully very soon!

When I was a kid, my dad did a tv show from the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. It was called The Exciting Years and was largely about the evolution of technology.

When I was in Dayton at the Wright Bothers Museum I was informed that Henry Ford bought and moved the Wright Brothers cycle shop from Dayton to Detroit. They also said Dayton made a condition of the sale that the building had to be placed on Dayton soil, so they took the dirt with the building.

We will always remember the look of two people standing an odd number of feet apart and how awkward it looks now. But we will know exactly why.
