Oh my gosh! This is MY family! I'm Abbie Burt Betinis... the third generation in the Burt Family to write a new carol every year in the tradition of my great-grandfather Bates Burt and great uncle Alfred Burt. I first heard The Star Carol on the radio when I lived in Arizona for a couple of years. That was in the late 1950s, and It has remained with me ever since. You're blessed to have such a rich family heritage.

My father bought The Christmas Mood after reading your uncle's story on the cover in 1959. It soon became a family favorite. It was played so often that it was wearing out. We scoured the stores every year for a replacement to no avail. We were thrilled when it became available on CD in the 90's. Unfortunately, Dad was gone by then, but this is the first CD I play every year. ❤

The Burt carols are a favorite in my husband's family. We have an old 10 inch LP that is all Burt Carols. They have a truly unique sound.
