This IS so beautiful. I live in a very so called, "progressive" "free-Palestine" area. A few of us go to the "free speech corners" once a week, so fly some Israeli, and American flags right now. This brought tears to my eyes, both because of how one person’s kindness (in this case, an 11year old child) thousands of miles away was able to encourage a a soldier going into battle to fight and continue on when seriously wounded and also because of this soldier’s response and the response of his friends and others who were able to track down this young girl, Emma to let her know how much her letter personally meant to this soldier and then afford the two to meet in an online chat video. Thank you! This was amazing!

I’m crying 😭 I’m a Marine Veteran and Served during 9/11! My father and both brothers were all infantry and went to combat against terrorist! I remember writing to my dad when he was in the gulf war and I was Emma’s age! I later followed his footsteps into the Marines! This was so sweet! Love that she is from Hollywood Florida!
