I remember seeing Pico with a section in Toys R Us for many years here in the UK.

In reference to the early 80's history of SGEA, what blows me away the most is the SEEEEGA was on commercials nearly a decade before Sonic the Hedgehog 😳

4:20 Hey, that’s Peter Wingfield. He’s a Canadian actor. He was in Highlander and a million other things. That’s wild.

Great video. Always been impressed with Sega. From their arcade games and home consoles, to their awesome pinball machines, and super cool old school mechanical midway games.

Yeah, they constantly innovated and designed great games.

The SG1000 has a lot of good games actually. Its a lot better than i expected when i played a load of its games.

Yeah, I think the SG-1000 is a really underrated console, I've given it quite a bit of love on this channel.

I have the alpine mega jet console. I bought 1 in Akihabara about a year ago they had about 10 left. Strange no one scooped em up

Great video! I knew about all of these as a massive Sega fan but not in this level of detail.

Every console/addon/hand held Sega ever made. All in release order...I think. 1. Sega Mark 1 2. Sega Mark II 3. Sega Mark III 4. Sega Master System 5. Sega Genesis/Mega Drive 6. Sega Game Gear 7. Sega CD/Mega CD 8. Sega 32X/Super 32X 9. Sega Jet 10. Sega Nomad 11. Sega Pico 12. Sega Saturn 13. Sega Naomi 14. Dreamcast 15. Sega+Nintendo Tri-Force Edit* oops I forgot the Wonder Mega, CDX, and the Laser Active Genesis/Sega CD Module. Addendum- Very sweet video! I want the car VHS game. I don't know why but I want it. ;)

Technically 13 and 15 were arcade systems not consoles.

you know I knew about most of these, but the Sega Driver one really surprised me.

What is the Mega Drive racing game you show footage of where the car falls off a bridge? I wanna try that one.

OutRun 2019 - a seriously underrated game and a real favourite of mine. If you want to see/know more about it then check out my Mega Drive exclusives video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHXNfoJ7oM-pas0&ab_channel=TheLaird%27sLair

Why was yuji naka shown along with cloud strife
@TheLairdsLair2 жыл бұрын
Because Yuji Naka worked on games for these consoles and went to work for Square Enix after leaving Sega.

Honestly, Sega is really overrated with the number of their successes. It has basically only the Master System, the Mega Drive and the Pico to brag about. Everything else is a cascade of failures.
@TheGamingScription4 жыл бұрын
Sega wasted a lot of money back in the day wish is sad because I wish they were still making consoles today. Nintendo is the only true gaming company left Microsoft and Sony as companies would be fine if they never sold another system or game again.

Sega were like Sinclair - constantly creating random products instead of putting all focus into a single thing.
