It is important to learn one's aqeedah and regarding the attributes of Allah ta'ala through the books that have been written on those topics for the common folk. In order to understand the Qur'an you are suppose to go to the scholars, no one can understand and interpret the Qur'an by themselves even after learning arabic. When he mentioned that yes we are suppose to go to learn from the scholars he was correct. When he said the aqeedah book is confusing, the way he is saying it is not correct, may Allah guide us and Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan.

Assalamualaikum brother, you said no one can understand and interpret the Qur'an even after learning Arabic, my Question is how do you know that no one can understand even after learning Arabic? (It's unseen knowledge. Allah says in the Qur'an "ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ" The Most Compassionate,,"عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ"taught the Quran, it's a rahamah from Allah ﷻ for one person that have knowledge of Quran ,hikmah of Quran, it doesn't depend on either you know Arabic or not , all about niyah). And he is just telling his own feelings about aqeedah books,and you have right to disagree. My humble request is to everyone that just because of one tiny mistake (no one is perfect everyone is trying to become perfect) don't over look the good things he is doing ,he is doing a great job , through him lot of Muslim specially youth came to Quran, understanding of the Qur'an, the right attitude towards Qur'an, the hope that Allah ﷻ gave us.. I'm definitely one of them..in my locality people are not interested in the understanding the Qur'an ,they respect a lot also recitation is there,, the understanding isn't ,they have thing that they told me that' you just couldn't read translation of the Qur'an. You couldn't tell anyone the translation. It's only permissable for Aleem ,' But in our locality the Aleem don't that... So I really respect nouman Ali Khan for what he is doing.. before l just knew the truth but now can feel the truth by heart , connect to the truth by heart , overwhelmed by the Qur'an,, he is just helping us to understand the Qur'an better,to develop a better understanding. You are okay to disagree with my thoughts , I'm just sharing my thoughts about how i feel..

Only Allah s.w.t knows best who is guided and who can translate the Quran for themselves. How about those who have no Quran in Arabic across the world? Allah blessed us with a mind --- (to ponder) those who ponder come to the right translation with Allahs guidance and their hearts hunger for Allahs word and to get to know him. Believe me, people really CAN translate for themselves. Ps: Not everyone has access to a scholar, not everyone is blessed with sight or hearing :) (lucky ones) who still get to understanding and pondering. It isnt just meant to be read , our brain is like a sponge , it should soak up the message AS WELL as lead one to contemplate, to FEEL to understand. When your heart shakes out of love and fear at the same time you reach a peak , a centre and contentment you cannot get anywhere else; And it is that contentment you are chasing knowing you are gaining Allahs pleasure all at same time. It is never the same twice, each Ayah can be pondered over , over and over again. The Quran never stops giving, its timeless, it's never SPENT , it doesnt run out of inspiration or meaning or understanding. What you say is wrong because the Quran should have an invisible thread knitted to your heart so that you always stay connected , if you cant feel that already and you dont feel what am saying , you are missing out on the extraordinary.

Where in the Quran does it mandate or say that normal people have to go to scholars do understand Quran. If you are earnest in your Islamic journey Allah will be your guide and teacher. When you create such a distance between yourself and the Quran, where you feel that’s too intimidating to approach without a scholar you create a distance between you and Allah. May Allah guide us all.

If you know how to learn and interpret the Qur'an, sure no book is better. But for ones who don't gave access to the basic Arabic language, these books might actually help. Like this lecture helps. There are people I know who similarly say, don't listen these lectures, just read and try to understand. I'd say I never would have understood the meaning of balag ul mubeen If I hadn't come across this lecture

The discussion about arrogance & stubbornness of disbelievers & concluding comments of Allah SWT can have the potency to shatter the hearts & specially the analogy where you have described the reality that how an arrogant person self - assumptions misguide him/her about possessing a VIP status but it undo the supermacy of Allah SWT, Who is the one & only إِلَهَ .
