The snake represents the devil which is the ego. We must transcend the ego in order to be united with god. This also comes through in the story of Jesus spending 40 days in the devil. Where he was tempted by the devil, his ego. When he denied the devil, transcending his ego, he then entered into Christ consciousness, where he began to live in full awareness of the eternal now. Uniting with god and realizing the kingdom of heaven.

I'm sorry, but that ' Christ consciousness ' stuff is completely new age teaching and not biblical, the devil represents SIN, not ego, ego and christ consciousness are not in the bible, and Jesus was already Christ, there is no ' eternal now ' that does not even make any sense, please read your bible and be not deceived by false prophets, the bible said this would happen in the end days. Jesus forgives us our sins, we are ALL sinners, repent with a humble heart and surrender to Him, the only way to eternal life is through Jesus. Jesus has always been " aware " please be AWARE that that is satan trying to confuse you and lying to you, just as he did to Eve in the garden, God is not the author of confusion, many false prophets and teachers will use displays of ' power' to deceive others, usually through something called ' kundallini ' they can make people shake and fall down etc, the Holy Spirit does not need to use such extremes that humans are fascinated, ' enchanted ', and mesmerized by. @@ResoluteRonin

This is my first video I’ve watched from your channel. While I admit, the first minute surprised me, once I got into the second minute, I then understood where you were going with this. I like how you juxtaposed the two beginnings (God’s and Satan’s/Man’s). Very thought provoking and eye-opening. This video is an masterpiece, both visually and audibly. I was very much into it. Time to check out a second one….oh, by the way, my checkbook is close in hand, brother….I will be very excited to help finance your ministry just as I am as excited to finance the ministry of the creators of The Chosen. Bible Unbound... there's a portion of Genesis 1 about how God seperated the waters from below and above and placed in the middle a firmament. This would make the earth flat set on pillars stationary and immovable set between waters..above and below. The firmament like molten glass...that means the heavens we see are inside the firmament...the sun and moon luminaries and the stars and wandering stars all inside the firmament...the outside of the firmament is water...not outer space...the heliocentric model of a globe hurling through space would then be questionable. That outside the firmament is water and above that water is our Most High amd Holy God's Kingdom..would you agree?.

- Wonderful audio-visual experience that is rather entertaining and helps to hold the viewers focus. - The religious inclinations in the narrative arc are (thankfully) clear as to not subvert a more objective perspective. - (At the start of the video) Brilliant use of contrast with other near eastern religions of the period although the Abrahamic inclination of the narration does seem to emphasize a biased exceptionalism rather than an evolution of thought deriving from other myths. (This point is excusable on account of the bias being clear and being stated from the start in the disclaimer video.) - Good use of rhetorical questions so as to highlight the breath of interpretations of such stories In summation, great video. The channel and it's work are proving to be a promising resource in my study of the bible. I will be watching more.

My verdict is out on the promotion of the video by 'Inspiring philosophy' however. The video gives a good overview of the problem and is interesting yet trivial in it's subject. The channel however (excuse my personal opinion) is a dreadful voice of apologetics, a branch of theology that is detrimental to the study of the bible. This is the case as Christian apologetics places proving the bible as an objective greater than understanding it and subsequently aims at a unity of interpretation opposed to a variety and the exceptionalism of Christianity opposed to a careful examination of biblical foundation. This is not a critique of this channel per se but I would be weary of such promotion and hope to see more objective bible study focused content promoted in other videos, those that I am still to watch and (as something can be done about it), those yet to be made.

Wow! This is a great video. I love the use of other creation stories to present some context of the Ancient Near East. It is interesting that other cultures understood something in regards to man being related to evil. Whether it was a mix of the blood of an evil good or the tears of giant eyeball, man owed a debt. Neat stuff, excited to do what is next :)

Thanks Anthony! Isn't it interesting how in those other stories: indebtedness is the state the humans were created in - whereas in the biblical story, humans desire to serve the creator God not out of obligation but out of adoration. Our story can head in a direction where humans get *back* to a state of adoration; whereas the other stories cannot head there.

The story of Adam & Eve is metaphorical to illiterate how the vices are born through the consciousness of the body, the illusion of the self (the body), and how sin is the expression or the consequence of that illusion. It's a story how Body Consciousness (the fall) defeats Soul Consciousness (virtues). The first vice is Ego (false knowledge) This is the false recognition of humans as male or female as oppose to a "soul" who we truly are. This was the first mistake human beings made, so we became body conscious (sinful) and all other vices took birth from that first vice of Ego.

How about this for a thought. Chapters 1 & 2 are all about what God created *and* made, and these two things are quite different. When God _creates,_ he brings into existence that which had not previously existed,; when he _made,_ he changed something that already existed into a different form and thereby brought forth something new. I shan't explain this further here, but I simply ask that you think about what this means. The serpent in Eden was not an actual creature, it _represented_ something and, not unusually in Scripture, it was _personified_ by being given a voice. Evil was always in the garden and Scripture tells us where it lived, Evil resides in the heart of Man, it is part of his nature. Eve was just doing what everyone does, she was debating with herself, and she didn't have much experience to guide her. Now, in Ch 1, Mankind was _created,_ male and female, they were _created._ But in Ch 2, a unique Man was _formed_ and God took out of him a part from his side and _formed_ it into a woman; so we are told that Adam and Eve were both MADE, not _created._ I have just one more thing to say. It is evident that God's Pla be of one flesh, and we learn from Luke's gospel that Adam was _the son of God._ We learn from Gen Ch 6 that there were two groups of humans living on the earth; _sons of God_ and _daughters of men._ Did God bring the flood then, to eliminate evil, knowing that he would fail, or was it his intention to eliminate all those who were not descended from Adam? Today, we are all of one blood. Just a few thoughts, but what a difference they could make to our understanding.

That’s a fair question and honestly I don’t know 🤷‍♂️ the Bible leaves that ambiguous. Here’s the full text … Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You[a] shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” 4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise,[b] she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. My best guess is: … probably? And Adam did nothing.

I had the same question, i read somewhere that it could possibly be the fact that instead of helping Noah right away upon seeing him in that state, he instead went ahead and told his brothers about his father's "shameful acts". The brothers on the other hand immidiately covered Noah up and did not look at him with judgement. This makes sense to me but then again, the bible isn't exactly clear on what Ham or Ham's son really did that caused Noah to curse them

I actually find more beauty in the gospel message by comparing the hallowed mythologies of other ancient near eastern creation stories to the biblical one - because that’s exactly what the biblical authors were trying to get across when they wrote what they did 👍

I had the same thought as you did at first….but then I understood his intention as I continued to watch. He may have lost a “few” observers as a result of that beginning, but i would surmise that he got the attention of even more observers who came to see. Sometimes you have to be bold and take “risks” in order to get your point across. Like I said, once I saw the big picture, what he did in the first minute then made complete sense. This video is jaw dropping awesome, and a visual masterpiece.

11:46 ???? Why is Eden portrayed in (present) Iraq? 19:39 Maybe the life span was a result of having a perfect genome before the genetic bottleneck caused by the flood. This dangerous territory, either God is true and His word is accurate or it all lies, discount any of it and you destroy the very reason for Jesus sacrifice. John 5:46-47 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” How will you believe Jesus if you will not believe Moses whom God had write Genesis.

1.) Genesis 2:10-17 2.) That's possible, but I'm trying to present to you the most likely interpretation that the original authors of the text had in mind when they wrote what they did. In this case, there are clear parallels to other ancient texts that they were likely alluding to This of course does not make the text any less true - but truth is also much more than that which we can perceive with our senses and have corresponding scientific data with.

QUR'AN INDICATES THAT ADAM MAY HAVE HAD OTHER WIVES APART FROM EVE! 'O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women and fear Allâh through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship) . Surely, Allâh is Ever an AllWatcher over you.' (Qur'an 4:1) All of mankind is descended from one person, Adam. However, the use of 'MANY'' by Allah, in the verse, indicates that not ALL of mankind come from BOTH Adam and Eve. Some men and women may have come from Adam and 'Susan' or Adam and 'Jill'. In fact, scientists today have proven that we, mankind, have 5-15% Neanderthal DNA in our 'human' DNA. These 'Susan' and 'Jill' could be the Neanderthals that Adam bred with, and their children interbred with the rest of mankind.

Man I can't see the logic in putting the forbidden fruit in the garden its like god wanted them to eat from it. If you have a toddler you wouldn't put poison in a coffee cup, put it where they can reach it, then tell the toddler not to drink it, the baby will drink it when nobody is there to stop him/her. One of the dumbest things ever happened in biblical history is that tree being placed in the garden.🎉god loves us right? 😑

You do not know what you are talking about. Eve did not have seed; only men have seed. The only woman who had seed was Mary. God told us from the very beginning that there was one coming who was not being made of human seed.

God created Eve from Adam. He pulled out from Adam a man. A man with a womb, through which they could bear fruit and multiply. God created Man and from him created WombMan or woman as we questionably say today. Mankind is the ultimate egalitarian perspective. We’re all men, just some of us have wombs.

@BibleUnbound

Thanks! Although I might disagree. The only way we can discern Jesus' divinity in the gospel of John, for example is by "reading between the lines." Logic is not a bad thing, either, it's apart of God's attributes, "When we accept the laws of logic, we are not accepting laws external to God to which he must be subject, but we are accepting laws of truth which are derived from God’s holy character … The Bible as a book written in human language claims to speak the truth. If the word truth is not meaningless, it implies the laws of truth, that is, the laws of logic." - James O. Buswell

Did you even watch it? All of it? You know not what you say. May I caution you to be careful how you judge a brother’s heart. What if this video pleases God, and there you are, condemning it. Yes, we should test everything with scripture, but you better have solid biblical evidence as your basis before you condemn one’s words or actions. I didn’t see any such evidence here. And yes, I’m a retired attorney….evidence, evidence, evidence…..must have!
