I believe I have heard of this story, but I swear back then stories like that were everywhere. Wow, 1995, I was 14, but delving back into my teenage brain girls just as much boys were thinking about sex. At least this guy felt guilty and owned up to it where some wouldn't give a crap. I really want all the young men and adult men to understand that sex for most women means this is special and that it means love to us. I know some men will think sex is sex and nothing more. To me I can differentiate because not depends on the person I am with and the relationship I have with that person, it could be meaningful or I'm having some fun, but as teenage girls they don't see it that way and some women today can't differentiate. The other thing at play is the teenage brain doesn't always think about the consequences and wants for the easiest solution especially if there's conflict. Teenagers are older and understand consequences, but in the heat of the moment or in a moment of conflict the easiest solution will present itself and not the logical one. The brain has not matured and will not until if I remember correctly mid-twenties, some develop earlier and some later, but we all find that logical or the hold on let's think about this part of our brain. Trust me I made some stupid decisions when I was a teenager, hell, I still make a few every now and again, but I always take time to think about it. David really should have left Diana even though he loved her. If anyone asks you to murder someone for that then there's something wrong with them. Also, if he was trying to make Diana jealous then he is an asshole. Cute cats by the way, the first cat I ever had was a tuxedo cat named Fluffy...lol...I was only four years old and I was the one who named her.

I thought I was soooooo in love with my first boyfriend. I was 16. He was 17. We had no business being that “intense”, but neither of us had been raised right, honestly. My mother even let him move in with us when he mom kicked him out. So I was living like a married person for a year. Then I fell apart when he cheated on me and broke up with me. I even ended up in a hospital for a while. Now I’m almost 50, have been happily married for 25 years, ended up turning out great (with therapy!), and I can’t even remember the color of his eyes. Wasn’t worth all that drama. It never is, kids...

This is why as a teenager you have no business being in an “intense relationship” you don’t have the emotional or mental maturity to handle all that comes with it. Your mind should be on school and activities like listening to music, going to the movies, eating pizza, hanging with your friends and having an occasional date.
@hopemccubbin86614 жыл бұрын
That`s exactly who gets in intense relationships
@ckotcher14 жыл бұрын
The most intense relationship I had was when I was a teenager. I honestly don’t think it’s just age because this happens with all ages. I think it’s the toxic combination of two people who on their own might not kill but together are a deadly combination. Like Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo the “Ken and Barbie” killers, or Rose and Fred West.
@TimLondonGuitarist4 жыл бұрын
If you tell a teenager that, they will do exactly the oposite. Maybe take the opposite approach: encourage them to go with it, then ....
@annereidy79814 жыл бұрын
Don't forget the hormonal element! Immaturity combined with hormones and identity difficulties are an explosive combination. All young people think they are at the most self defining point in their lives and all choices and actions carry that sense of urgency with them! Time seems to drag at that age and needing to gain control over your life is instinctive, sorry to be so long winded, but that is the difficulty of starting into adulthood, so much to be gotten through safely first.

I thought so too, and as a Mother of a 21 year old at the time of the trial, I agreed with her. My son passed away recently, and I had always promised myself I would do the same if it I was ever in her Mothers shoes. That took great courage and pure heart for her to not want to seek revenge and have another parent go through the pain of losing a child. She is a great person.

Adrianne (victim) & I have the exact same birthday, 6/18/79. She would be 43 years old now (2022), if her life hadn't been taken by two monsters.

I remember when this went down. I was gobsmacked that people could be so ridiculously and dangerously co-dependent that it would lead to the death of another person.

An amazing story, so sad for Adrianne and her family
@sandic38924 жыл бұрын
I have heard this story before as well. How tragic and how ridiculously stupid those two were. Its almost unbelievable that two educated people with such a great future ahead of them could think that murdering an innocent girl was going to make everything okay. How very sad for all of the parents,but especially poor Adrianne's. Thank you for another story well told!

Great job, CR! As a Texan, I always take special interest in cases from here. Just to note, Bexar is pronounced "bear." 🙂

Thanks, CR, another awesome narration! I saw the movie, and it seemed that both David and Diane were controlling. On a cheery note, those "petty crime suspects" are adorable LOL I love hearing animal rescue stories:) I deleted my story because this really isn't the place to post it:) Thanks again, CR! Happy day!
